I purchased the discount card in order to purchase a particular item, but then found that that item was only on a collect from store basis which is not convenient or time/cost effective, so I ended up purchasing it from elsewhere on a home delivered basis.

Sorry to hear that you felt the card was a waste. It does last for 12 months, and with our new season starting soon, new items will be available across all stores and online again.
