“Fitbit upgrade”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ZaidenHaynes462 on 05/10/2020

I buy things to last. Fitbit charge 3 after number of issues is great now but no clock faces for charges. If you are a keep up with the Jones you will be fine but if you like things you purchase longer than a year you are out of luck. I went thru 2 updates and new charge3 to find there is no more support for clock faces. On the look for a better watch not interested in Fitbit anymore

“Not made to last”

★☆☆☆☆

written by DavidH014 on 05/01/2020

Fitbit build their products to fail. The give away was when they first created their watches and if the strap broke, so did the functionality of the watch - it couldn't be worn.At least they fixed this with replaceable straps. However the Aria scale is not made to last and they don't allow, yes don't allow, repairs after the warranty period. Just chuck it in the bin at the local waste recycling is their advice. Disgraceful - bad economics, bad for customers and truly awful for the environment.

“Easily broken”

★☆☆☆☆

written by hjohnsonjr on 06/12/2019

Two fitbit charge 2's and two failures. First, the crystal cracked and was replace under warranty. Then the lugs holding the band on wore off three months after the warranty ran out. The band wouldn't stay locked in place (both ends). Two fitbit charge 2's in 15 months. Not getting a replacement.

“I gave up on fitbit”

★★☆☆☆

written by JohnMcCormack on 11/09/2019

I have been a Fitbit user for many years and have had two different devices and a couple of replacements. My device is again down and despite the best efforts of an excellent support staff it cannot be resurrected and is now out of warranty. They offered a 25% discount on a replacement, but I have decided to pass. It would be great if the product quality and reliability were as good as the after-sales support.

“Fitbit Versa”

★★★★★

written by RJC12345 on 12/08/2019

I've just purchased the Fitbit versa after having the Fitbit Charge 2 for around 3 years. The product is fabulous, really easy to switch over the devices and you get to keep all your existing data (which was a worry of mine). The design is really sleek and simply nice to look at and the usability is just as good. I would recommend this product and company to anyone who is interested in tracking their health/fitness. Easy to use and reasonably priced.

I was cutting trees when my fitbit blaze popped out of the band... A month later i found the bit while I was cleaning up the cuttings.. during the month that it was on the ground we had snow and rain. I charged the fitbit and it still works!

“Brocken Band”

★★☆☆☆

written by Greyson329 on 15/12/2017

As documented in my activity log this watch only lasted just over a year. Poor manufacturing and design of the watch band. And the company knew of the issue and did not provide any resolution. Further more they kept selling them knowing the problem.

I have had the same problem with the band constantly coming off. Have glued it back numerous times but on its last legs now. anyone recommend a fitbit with a stronger band?

“Not a great product”

★★☆☆☆

written by Fatbloke11 on 29/08/2016

I bought my Fitbit from Amazon at a decent price. I used it constantly for the first 3 weeks I had it. The charge seemed to decrease day by day to the point where I have to charge it every day and it takes 4/5 hours. The data it provides I would challenge as I used MyFitnes Pal and Endomondo alongside it and the difference was quite radical. I would not recommend it for anyone serious about using it to help them get fit unless you use it purely to tell you how many steps you have taken each day but then I would treat the data with a sceptical mind.

“low life quality”

★★☆☆☆

written by McDowell81 on 29/07/2016

Have had for seven months, then it died. Don't feel it is even worth it to have replaced. Can't get through to customer service. I feel a product that I paid good money for should at least last one year? It will Not charge or sync. Not worth the money!

“Not worth it”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Ashlyq45 on 01/07/2016

When I purchased my fitbit I thought it was such a cool item. Then it stopped working after 3 months. I had to prove I had purchased it even though I ordered it from the fitbit website. They had no record. It finally was replaced. Then it broke into 2 pieces. They tried to tell me how to reset it. I had to email again and tell them that is not possible because it is in 2 pieces. It was replaced again. Stopped working again. This time they tell me my warranty is expired. I purchased it in March of 2015. They also tell me their record shows my tracker is fully charged and working properly even though the screen is completely blank. This product is very overpriced and low quality. Don't waste your money or time. Never buy a fitbit product.( 4 trackers in slightly over a year and all were defective)

“STOPPED CHARGING AFTER 6 MONTH”

★★★★☆

written by ClaireShoemaker on 01/05/2016

I received the Charge HR for a Christmas gift. (before I got the charge I had a Zip--liked it) The Charge I got for Christmas was defective and Best Buy replaced it. I have had the device for 6 months and it just stopped charging. I called customer service and the representative gave me a few troubleshooting suggestions but nothing worked. The customer service representative was very helpful and understanding. They will be sending me a replacement. I just hope this one lasts longer than 6 months. I truly love this device--Charge HR and hope I have better luck with this new one they are sending me.

“Battery Life Sucks”

★★★☆☆

written by Modacious on 09/03/2016

I was having problems with my fitbit battery it wouldn't last more then a day. I contacted fitbit and the sent me a new one great was very happy that they did that. I received the new one a week ago and this one only is lasting a day also. Contacted fitbit and all they could tell me is I'm charging it to long and using the wrong wall charger even though it's a U.L. approved. They said the only thing they could do for me was to give me a 25% discount on the purchase of a new fitbit I guess they don't want to keep me as a VALUED customer as they stated in my phone call with customer service. THINK TWICE before you buy

“Great customer service”

★★★★☆

written by Milliemoow on 29/02/2016

Received a Fitbit Charge for my birthday in June 2015 and loved it - so much so that I recommended it to friends and family. I love the functionality and the fact that owning a Fitbit has encouraged me to make a conscious effort to be more active however the design of the wrist strap isn't very inspiring. Six months later the tracker part was coming loose from the strap so I contacted customer service via live chat on the Fitbit website. The advisor asked me to send a photo of the damaged unit along with details of where and when it was purchased and upon receiving these, agreed to send a replacement. My 2nd unit arrived within days however it soon became clear that it was not working properly (a full charge would only last a matter of hours rather than days) Repeated the complaint process via email and a 3rd unit was promptly despatched.

“Awesome customer service!”

★★★★★

written by JaxonRussoItalian1970 on 28/02/2016

I ordered a Fitbit Charger HE for my wife. I ordered the new Tiel color because she likes that color - but I was wrong! But she said it was fine even though it wasn't black like she wanted. Later we found the time was wrong. After trying every fix we could find online I called Fitbit's customer service and they said "no problem -we'll just send you a new one". I ended up telling them the wrong size and the small wouldn't fit my wife so I called customer service again and they once again said "no problem". They're letting me exchange it AND they let me get the black color too. A+ for customer service!

“i9naccurate HR, and step/stair count”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Hanaa141 on 14/02/2016

Purchased for my wife who has always used polar devices and found them to be very accurate. concerned that the HR reading was way out thus tested against both polar and Garmin hr monitors on two different devises. Garmin and polar read within 1-2% of each other. the fitbit under reads by about 25-30%. very disappointing. When I read other reviews suggestions there are comments about the position on wrist, sweat etc etc. The device is not 'fit' for purpose, turns out to be a very expensive sleep monitor!! Don't Buy!!

“Does not work properly”

★★★☆☆

written by on 27/01/2016

I got my Fitbit for my birthday. I was happy to get it but am now disappointed. The Fitbit does not live up to the selling points. Syncing is impossible. I called Fitbit tech support and thought it was synced but after I hung up I noticed it wasn't doing all that it was supposed to do. The data collected is flawed. The sleep functionality absolutely does not work. The time has been correct one time, however did not maintain the correct time. It is 8:55, my FitBit says it's 2:33. If asked I will tell people not to buy a Fitbit.

“Technology does NOT live up to Fitbits promises ”

★★☆☆☆

written by Tacla on 15/01/2016

I like the idea of Fitbit but the product does not deliver on its selling points. I have purchased two Fit Bit Charge HR's BOTH FAILED MISERABLY. Syncing is unreliable. The data collected is flawed. The function which monitors your sleep is laughable. The damn thing cant even keep track of time correctly. I am a bartender who sang praises regarding your company's product. I now tell people to avoid buying a Fitbit at all cost

“Fitbit does not register true steps”

★★☆☆☆

written by 433Webster on 28/11/2015

I was thrilled to get a fitbit and was wearing it every day to monitor my activity. I became disullisioned when my friend who wears one told me about her trip from Tampa to West Palm Beach. She was in the car for 5 hours tied up in traffic and her fitbit recorded 10,000 steps while she was driving. OK, so hand motion is what it's all about, but if your sitting stationery for 5 hours, just using your hands to rotate the stiring wheel??? Well??? what would you think??? The readings are not true.......I'm disappointed,

“Fitbit: Good idea, poor product”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Power190 on 22/11/2015

I started using my Fitbit Flex at the beginning of 2015. After the first month the band broke. I bought some more bands. After three months the Fitbit stopped syncing with my computer, so wearing the Flex was pointless. Nice idea, too bad it doesn't work.
