I just wanted to drop you a quick email to make you aware of the fantastic service that I received at the Evans Store in York. So often people (me included) are quick to complain about a service they have received without acknowledging great customer service because it should be a given!
Firstly let me apologise for not buying my bike from your store (mine is a cheap bulky ugly bike). Despite that, your colleagues in the York store treated me as though I had purchased the bike from you and that it was priceless!!
Secondly, they went above and beyond on every occasion I pestered them, from checking my brakes, gears, my tyres to giving it the once over as I was convinced that there was something wrong with it………as it turns out there was, the front brake pad was stuck to the front wheel!!!! I wondered why it was such hard work!!!
Anyway, I went back last night to collect my little nanna basket that I had ordered from you and was obviously not expecting your lovely gentlemen to fit it for me (I think they took pity on me as they had seen the mess I had made of putting my bike together in the first place!!) which was really very kind of them.
I am new to this cycling malarkey and can honestly say I don’t enjoy it….yet, so it is a real pleasure to visit a store where everyone is genuinely passionate about bikes and cycling….it was almost infectious….almost, lets not get too carried away!
Lastly, I’m not sure if your company has any sort of recognition/bonus/customer feedback scheme, if you do, you need to give the guys in the York store a HUGE bonus or a night out on the company because they really do deserve it! Maybe even use them in some marketing or ad campaign
If you don’t, you should!!
You really should be proud of that team!
