left my helmet at home for a ride, fortunatley there is an evans cycle shop right near the leeds station. so i managed to get the gear i needed to ride on the day. i found the staff very helpful. they even adviced me of the christmas discount they are offering so i made a few additional purchases because of their dilligence. nice that they have a decent bike rack for customers bikes in store. a feature a huge number of shops seem to neglect. very pleased! mostly pleased that they stock kmc kool chains, which should't be considered a 'specialist' item, cough halfords...
