I'm a competent home mechanic hence I use Evans as a place to buy clothes (anything where I want to see the size / fit / material) of an item.

The staff are normally friendly and are not afraid to talk to colleagues if they don't know or want a 2nd opinion.

On the negative side, the range of items in stock is limited (as seems to be the trend in many shops these days). The 'order in to store' option is very good but is necessary too often.
