Ridgeback dimension 26. Would use this company again

I was after a ridgeback dimension 26 for my son (him having test ridden one previously). After a bit of shopping around I found one online with this shop at the best price, and better still the website said it was in stock and for a premium if I ordered before 2pm on the Friday could also be delivered on the Saturday. Ideal as it was a bank holiday weekend and the kids were pestering me for a Forest of Dean trip. I went ahead and ordered that Friday lunchtime and received the order confirmation including Saturday delivery. However it wasn't until the Saturday itself that I realised there had been a follow up email letting me know the bike wasn't going to be delivered until the following week after all. To their credit, they refunded my premium postage cost and delivered within two working days at no cost anyway (that was still a premium delivery option) and the bike arrived safe and sound the following Wednesday. Can't fault them for that and credit for doing the right thing. My only advice for improving the customer service experience would be for them to phone customers rather than email if they know there's going to be a problem. Pretty sure I had to provide a contact number with the order. I'm not one for checking my emails every 5 minutes and it wasn't until after I'd tried flagging down a lost looking delivery truck on the Saturday before I rechecked my emails to discover the bike wasn't coming that day after all.

As for the bike itself, a ridgeback dimension 26 in black, I'm thoroughly impressed. It looks fantastic all in Matt black, and It fits my tall 9 year old son perfectly but should also last another coupe of years before his sister inherits it. I'm a self confessed bike snob/enthusiast who rides an awful lot myself, and the quality of components and finish of the bike doesn't disappoint. It's also extremely light and this makes it much easier to handle.. Nothing's more likely to put a child off cycling than trying to lug 15kg of pig iron up a steep hill, and where we live is extremely hilly. I've put some 26x1.9 schwalbe black jack MTB tyres on it (sourced for £12 each) replacing the hybrid style tyres it came with as the intended use is as a light weight MTB on forest trails or the odd blue trail centre course. It's more than up to the job and far lighter than anything equipped with a 2kg+ set of cheap and nasty suspension forks as most kids MTB bikes seem to be equipped with these days. Bike was delivered mostly assembled, just need to attach handle bars wheels and pedals which so long as you have a #5 Allen key and pedal spanner (neither provided) is a doddle.
