Dear Sir
As per our correspondence we advised you that we ran out of the covers at the time and had to order more in. All outstanding covers have been despatched using Royal Mail and will be with you and other customers in a few days - although Royal Mail now refuse to guarantee any delivery and can take up to 14 working days to deliver.
I apologise for the delay but we thought it better to send your BBQ than to send nothing and wait for your cover to arrive. I sincerely hope that you really enjoy your new purchase and the cover to keep it nice and protected for many years to come. May you have a pleasant Summer with your BBQ.

“Lose your money”

Ordered a skottel braai which was in stock and would take 3/4 days for delivery. Two emails and three telephone calls later all of which promise a response. Absolutely nothing. Have complained to the credit card company who will now raise a dispute form. When you phone the company they still invite you to place orders online. “Great communication when a problem arose.”

I see good customer service as being shown when something goes wrong, and not when it goes smoothly. There was a delay with me receiving my order, this was outwith CNF's control - there was a delay with their supplier dispatching my order, and then the courier lost my order. Problems occured when I found that the tent was faulty ( it leaked in moderately wet weather which should not happen with a tent as waterproof as this one). On our own purchase we paid via debit card but were able to reclaim the funds via a chargeback claim.

Don't let them get away with taking consumers money, should be on watchdog.

Terrible company, you place your order they take your money, they say it's on the way, then some time later it's 'out of stock' and you will get a refund - trouble is you never see that refund. We emailed, rang the mobile, rang the landline - never an answer and no one calls back. In the end my bank got me my refund. I reported them to police and trading standards. Ignore any companies so called returns policy, the only one that matters is the one by UK law, the new Consumer Contracts Regulations giving you the rights to cancel the order the moment you place it and up to 14 days after placing it. You then have a further 14 days of which to return the goods.

I would call trading standards, we persued further with the bank for a refund after returning our item, it would not hurt to see if anything can be done, and even if not it is another consumer complaint against them.

Phoned today to find out why my order had not been received. A recorded message states that due to a family bereavement no orders will be despatched until Nov 5th. Now if this is true I sympathise but any company worth its salt would still look after it's customers. Please do not put up with this nonsense any longer. Send an e-mail to the company specifying a deadline for delivery or full refund (keep a copy of this as evidence). Assuming the time-scale is not met do not waste any time or effort dealing with them but contact your payment provider (Pay pal or YOUR OWN BANK, for debit card payments).Advise them that you suspect you have been a victim of online fraud (refer to this website as proof).
