Can I just say that the Pets at Home Vets are not all affiliated with Pets at Home Stores, yes they have a practice in the stores but they're not all Pets at Home Vets. Mine in Southampton (Winchester Rd) is franchised by an absolute gem of a vet, Ruth under the Companion Care banner
I have absolutely nothing but praise for her and her staff. I took my cat to them from my normal vets a few years ago and she and the nurse realised he had been misdiagnosed from my normal vets. I immediately moved practice and for the last 3 or so years he has received excellent care right up to the day he died a few weeks back. I received sympathy flowers from the practice afterwards.
Please don't criticise all the vet practices just because you are unhappy with pets at home. Each practice is owned and run by different vets as individual businesses so what may be sad and terrible at your practice doesn't mean it is the same at all of them. For the record, I absolutely trust and recommend Ruth and the staff at Southampton without hesitation and will post a second review under the correct - Companion Care name.
