unhelpful & misleading, pets not priority

Bought a parrot from them, told it would live 10 years. Read up on the breed and actually can live up to 25-30 years. Feel very mislead. Parrot had missing feathers and we were concerned. We understand they can moult but the bird was plucking. we phoned for advice and asked if they could provide us with details of the breeder or aviary where we could rehome it as we felt it needed interaction with other birds and was distressed and bored. We didn't want a refund on the bird, just some help on where to go next. The lady was dismissive and unhelpful. I think she thought we wanted the money back, we didn't. We just wanted a nice happy home for the parrot. Got told we don't help with rehoming. All I wanted was a phone number or website of someone who could help us and the bird. She just said sell it yourself. My partner phoned back to speak to her asking if she could help or take the parrot back, seen as her husband was an expert on birds and breeding them etc, just to be told you are not bringing the parrot back to us, if you do I will call the police!!! Disgusting behaviour and attitude when all we wanted was the best for the parrot and some help and advice from someone more knowledgeable supposedly with contacts with breeders who could have helped. Never entering the premises again. Animal lovers??? Never in a million years!! If that was me I'd have gone out my way to help the customer but she didn't care less.
