I signed up to Payment Sense, I was told the contract would be 18 months £24.99 a month plus vat plus transaction charges per month. In an email I confirmed with Harrison wood that there were no other merchant fees, he confirmed back in writing that this was all I had to pay. Since then I have had nothing but stress and trouble. They have taken an extra £10 a month from my account so I can apparently see transactions online which I never asked for. I have then started getting charged £24.99… Read Full Review

I was far from happy, I am sure the phone call was recorded so you can perhaps hear this. Adjustments were made but I did make it clear that I was very unhappy and that I may contact the Financial Ombudsman. I also forwarded an email that Harrison wood sent me stating that there were no other charges involved (merchant). I will contact payment sense tomorrow, I just hope the 'right thing' is done now in me doing so and that my faith in this company is restored.

When I spoke to them a stated I want a clear explanation of cost , I asked if there were any hidden cost , each time I was told no. I asked this question so many times each time he said no They. Took £60 from my bank in 10 days. They added client line costs authorisation cost service charges I feel so Ripped off by payment sense . Customer Service is very good and I like extra product they offer - clientline, mobile PAYG top ups, cashback, till rolls,EPoS systems business bank accounts without checking your credit score if you ask Seller. Contract can be 60 months but it is capped - fixed - so don't worry. It is possible also to sign shorter contract - e.g. for 36 months. The whole year is bad experience - first of all: When agreement between Payment sense and us was made - They say: NO rolling contract and hidden fees, Standard payment all the time which was agreed over the phone, free cancellation any day or time. Hi did you get out of the contract with Payment Sense and First Data? I have an identical situation, I was falsely sold a five year contract and then they took money and put it back , then tried to charge me for it saying it was my fault, I got it all returned as I threatened them with legal action but keep getting told that I now have an extra fee for this and then another one for that. I cant see how to get out of the contract and they are seriously affecting my business. Any help or advice would be great.

Hello Colin,
Try to post review on Trust Pilot about Payment sense - Trust pilot does the same as Payment sense - they simply do not post any bad reviews about Payment sense as payment sense is probably their customer. I want to warn all people against this company but Trust pilot does not post my reviews and believe it or not - they do not post it. After I contacted trust pilot about this service - lady was listening to me and then said: "ok, BYE" and hang up phone.
Payment Sense is trying to sell misleading information and charge you some fees for nothing. I am trying to cancel (as it was explained before by member of their team "NO contract - just pay as you go and you can cancel us at any time"). Obviously, I am trying to cancel them but they say we have 90 days cancellation policy, they also tried to charge me for some extra services but then when I threatened to go legal and I also called FIRST data to complain about this - they cancelled extra charges. But still they say 90 days cancellation policy applies so I am now paying for nothing.
My advise to you: Call First data - make complaint and explain the situation; Also, write a review on Trust pilot so that other people do not use them - maybe they will post your one. Next I would advise you to call Bank of Scotland which are people in charge First Data - speak to management and they will raise an issue ref to your case. This is the same as I done in order to cancel somehow. If this is still not sorted - write to Ombudsman office and explain full situation. They must cancel your contract - you should not be liable to 5 year contracts with any company and even if you signed 5 year contract at the beginning - you always have cancellation rights - as per consumer rights act. Raise more people and raise awareness about them. What does your company do?

Bank of Scotland have nothing to do with First Data anymore. Their interest ceased over 2 years ago, they will not be able to do anything regarding your complaint.

I will agree that you should speak to First Data if Paymentsense are not taking your complaint serious or doing anything to rectify it. FD process all Paymentsenses' transactions and processes to enable them to sell merchant services. They will listen to you and sort this out.

Signed up with payment sense almost three months ago, had two statements so far both incorrect. First one charging more than agreed (in writing) per transaction, charging for clientline (£10 per month) and till rolls both of which we expressly rejected (again, in writing) and charging extra for "non-qualifying" cards which they tell us were "foreign cards" when two of these cards were our own British cards by British banks (we used them to try the machine out with small amounts). Hi thank you but what's the point reading all the other comments from this page no one else has had no joy from your poor customer service! The only way is seek good advise! And my advise to you is get rid of those who has tricked us and made us believe he was cancelling our other card machine provider! And left with us paying for two. He also told us we could get out of the contract for free if we gave a month notice. Hope he can sleep at night with his £200 commission!

Read the small print and get everything a sales rep promises in writing, then check it again, with both companies PaymentSense and FirstData. Otherwise you may find yourselve stuck with a 5 year contract, with hefty termination charges to leave two companies. Also, just to change the terminal to a wireless model, after the first 6 months, they insist on you taking out another long contract. Read their small print carefully before signing up to anything! Do not take their sales rep's word for anything. Attractive initial prices but they will sting you for fees even after your agreed contract is finished! We're now with another provider who have no such clauses in their contract and we consider paymentsense policies to be unethical... full review to be published when we're free of paymentsense! I blind sign the 60 month contract but I bean told by your staff of payment Sence that is no closure fees or anything if I can not carry on my business in UK. One more thing is that no call record on our onversation between us and that is big responsibility by the company to make sure all your clients got a best service. Sales reps commission orientated. Was promised they would pay 100% of my previous providers cancellation fee. I was left with a £600 bill out of my own pocket. Promised me lower rates with no hidden charges. They dropped my debit card rate by 3p but then add an additional 3.85p which is called. Authorisation fee which actually increased my rates and told me i would not have to pay PCI/DSS fees which i am now getting billed £70 for and all this within an 18 month contract the seller told me it… Read Full Review
