I recently complained to Paypal because of their unfair methods eg; Reversing Payments to buyers without considering all the facts. I posted an item to a buyer because Ebay had marked it as Payment Received and to maintain high ratings I always post promptly. When I was advised that Paypal had reversed the payment because it was apparently unauthorised I responded to them explaining the facts but the information I provided were irrelevant. They did not give me an acceptable explanation for their actions - just Payment Reversed, Your account will be Debited. The complaint system is flawed as I tried several times to contat Paypal only to be advised my time had run out. When I eventually contacted them I stated that I had been treated unfairly and that they were instrumental in me being ripped off in some sort of scam. PAYPAL IS NOT A SAFE METHOD FOR SELLERS TO RECEIVE PAYMENT BUT AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO GET RIPPED OFF BY CONMEN. An appalling service - Avoid.

Totally agree - the above has also happened to us and we were not given any advie or support from paypal. We were on the Paypal Payments Pro and had £800 of "unauthorised transactions" in just over a month! We received none of the money back from paypal even though I had proof the items had been accepted! An absolute disgrace. Now looking at an alternative card provider.
