High Street Kensington branch. The (French female) assistant started off being very pleasant and friendly, but it quickly became apparent that (a her English was so poor that she couldn't fiully understand me, and she couldn't communicate info about the product to me, and b) she had little knowledge of the products in the first place, so she had to keep speaking to her manager, who was already busy and not very interested in getting involved.

When he did, he had a very poor customer service attitude - his contribution was "that's the wrong price, it'll be way more expensive than that", which really drew me to him and the product (not).

Then it became even more obvious that the assistant really didn't know what she was doing when it came to measuring my eyes, distsnce between pupils, etc.

Then the manager wasn't prepared to be flexible as to the choice of a second pair of glasses (I was prepared to pay extra).

In the end, I walked out. They lost a £600 sale.

After a bit of research, I found the identical glasses online for substantially less than half the price of Vision Express.
