I took my son to specsavers for his first eye test - the words never again spring to mind - such a shambles - three weeks later he still hasn't got his glasses!
After waiting ten days for an appointment, we went in plenty of time but still hadn't been taken an hour after the appoinment time - whilst we were waiting it looked to me as though the staff were doing a great deal of running around - I am sure they knew what they were doing but the number of staff in a very small branch of specsavers was incredible. After seeing the optician who I have to say was the only pleasant part of the experience we were left to the advisors to pick frames - as it was near closing time they practically shoved frames on my son and said they are perfect! I wanted his dad to see them before making a final decision so called in the next day to let his dad see them and they had lost the frames - after much more running around by staff who apologised wepicked another two pair. The next day I got a phone call to say the optician needed to repeat the eye exam as they had lost the results - so instead of me saying no we will go else where I stupidly went back and repeated the performance - we then had to wait five days for the lenses to be fitted only to find that when we went to pick them up they were totally the wrong frames. Amidst great apoligies we said fine how long will it be till the news frames and lenses are here - another five day wait. So I played along said fine - walked out and went to an independant optician around the corner who will have my sons glasses ready in 48 hours,
