Unfortunately had a really poor experience. I ordered prescription Ray Ban sunglasses with a polarized lens (I don't have a particularly strong prescription - just -2). When they arrived, the coating on the lenses protruded significantly, leaving a gap of several mm in the brown coating between the lenses and the frame (ie a clear gap rather than the brown lens abutting the frame). It's hard to explain, but essentially it means that they look like cheap knock offs, rather than £150 designer sunglasses. They have advised that this is because the frames are quite curved, combined with the polarization. Sadly they are refusing the provide a refund, because they claim that they are acceptable as they are. They truly are not, and they should just have given me a call when they realised that they would look the state that they did, to give me options as to how to proceed rather than just sending out something shoddy.

Interestingly, I subsequently spoke to Vision Express, who have the same model in their shops (RB4068). They point blank refused to make them in any prescription (even non-polarised), because of the curvature and said it just would not work. This is a sign of a responsible company - you might pay a bit more, but you know that you'll be getting something that looks right.

Really disappointed, and such a shame ShadeStation will not acknowledge their error or provide a refund. Suggest avoid like the plague

I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment in regards to the service you have received from Shade Station.

I can confirm we do have the correct equipment to be able to glaze this frame and our technician does effectively glaze this particular frame on a regular basis. I can see your order was checked twice prior to dispatch to ensure they were in perfect condition and I am sorry you did not like the look of the frames when you received these.

Having looked into your order I can confirm a full refund has now been issued as you were not happy with how the frames looked.
