I went for a consultation after seeing the advert stating from £795 per eye. As I have a very mild prescription I knew the cheaper option would suit. The staff were friendly & did explain everything. However; this is where I felt extremely conned and frankly exploited. The minute they saw my medications due to an illnedd I have they suddenly said I suffered from dry eye syndrome to this. I am only 35 years old. I do not have this condition and have no scarring as I was told. They tried to get me to pay £4000 which I steadfastly refused on the spot. I went to an alternate company, who said I did indeed suit the less expensive option and did not suffer from the condition stated. I also was considered to be "no way near" needing Lasek. I felt they tried to con a vulnerable person using my illness against me.

Opticalexpress's Response to Eckstar's Review
Written on: 09/04/2012
Hi Eckstar,
Thanks for your feedback and for sharing your experience.
As I am sure you can appreciate, it is very hard for us to be able to comment on your specific experience without knowing more details. However, we would like to stress that every laser eye surgery provider has different suitability guidelines. At Optical Express we have a high focus on patient safety which is potentially why you were given differing advice at an alternative clinic.
We do take all feedback very seriously and would be keen to arrange for one of our clinical services team, who are laser eye treatment specialists, to discuss your case with you directly. If this is something you would like to do, please get in touch with us at customerfeedback@opticalexpress.com and I will arrange a suitable time.
Thanks,
Sandra
