I ordered a Samsung S6 on a pay monthly contract with Vodafone. They got off to a good start by delivering the handset very quickly but that's where it ended. The SIM card sent with the phone never connected so the handset remained unusable. I had to ring them to explain what was happening and they assured me a manual connection would sort it all out. It didn't. I had to ring them again to be told that in order to get a new SIM they had to credit check me a second time. I was not happy as I am applying for a mortgage and did not want anything to potentially affect my credit rating. I had no choice they told me this was the only way to sort it out so I reluctantly agreed. Fast forward 5 days and nothing had arrived. Another phone call made at my expense only to be told I had failed the second credit check and had to return the handset immediately and would not be offered any further contracts via Mobiles.co.uk or Vodafone. Again I was fuming but had no choice but to return the handset. Thinking this was over I went straight to Carphone Warehouse who credit checked me AGAIN but to a positive outcome in the respect that I got the handset, the SIM and a package that worked and suited me all in the space of my lunch hour. Lo and behold I then received a welcome letter from Vodafone for the SIM that never worked which I rang them direct to ensure the account had been cancelled and no charges would be associated to me. Today I received a demand letter for the first month’s bill!!! Absolutely dreadful service, I will never use this company again and will endeavour to tell anyone that will listen to avoid at all costs.
