The sales team offered very good support as sounding boards, My graphic designer, was outstanding and incredibly patient. He did beautiful work on the website and was painstaking with the design of my logo.
They were also very good with training and support in the early days when it was very new and intimidating. They have generally been quick to respond to calls for help.
I was hardly involved in the development phase which was disappointing, having been very involved in how I wanted the site to look and then having no involvement in how I wanted the details of it to function - This meant months later I was still, revisiting this and making corrections/alterations and improvements on poor function. That said the team were generally willing after a few e-mails and follow up phone calls. I only wish I'd known about/been made aware of possible Joomla upgrades. I had to go beyond SMART to be made aware of these and be offered them.
It has come to a point, where I feel developmentally I need to progress and improve on what I have and thus have looked at upgrading and sort advice outside of smart.
In essence my experience is that SMART are good for design and print and a good starting point for web development or for a non e-commerce based website. However you need to make a determined, sustained effort to get development results which match the training and graphic results.
