I called fowlers for car finance due to a poor credit history I decided on a citroen c4 due to the boot size needed for my new puppy. I was accepted which I thought was great but now the problems have started. I wanted to pick the vehicle up on 01/05 to be called after I had sold my other vehicle and was devised that I could not pick the car up that day and was told several different reasons why, I argued that I have no transport now and need a car for work I was then told they would try and get the c4 down for end of day Saturday 2/05 I said that would be fine as I am at work gain Sunday so need the car for work. I then took the phone call to advise that I could not have the c4 as there was an electrical fault so if I needed a car on Sunday I had to pick a different one and they had a corsa and I was advised it had the same boot size of the c4. I agreed based on what they had said about the boot size and was then told it had to be Sunday. I had to call my sergeant and lost double time bank holiday weekend to take the day off on arrival with only £10 in my pocket train fair was £6.50 i got there to find the car not suitable at all for size but had no option as no money to get home so HD to sign a car that I was lied about. I was advised that my c4 was still in stock the corsa was £1400 more expensive then the c4 as well. I was so upset spent Sunday crying in the dealership no one from head office would answer the phone. The insurance change over was £43.00 to change to the corsa as well so it was costing me a lot of money for a vehicle that I was lied to about from fowlers. I made contact with the manger at head office that next week which cost me in phone calls to be advised that the c4 I originally wanted there was nothing wrong with at all and I had been signed up on a different registration c4, this has been stressful in total I am over £300 out of pocket so far, they arranged for some money back compensation I was under the understanding that I would be getting £71 compensation of the change of insurance, train fare and petrol as the corsa had no petrol in at all and was not even clean on pick up. I would also be getting my £50 deposit back but I have now found out all I'm getting is the £71 which includes the £50 deposit which is a joke it was not my mess up and I am a he'll of lot of money out of pocket. I have since changed the car picked up the c4 on Saturday 9/05 no petrol in again and I may prefer the car but I am absolutely disgusted with the service. When calling today and checking why I am only getting £71 I am disgusted with the fact that the attitude is not good on how much out of pocket I am due to them not accepting any of the responsibility. I want my £50 do sit back on top of the £71 otherwise I am going to take them to court I have spoke to trading standards as I work closely with them and they say I have a case to claim back everything including loss of earnings so I want to know how fowlers can do this is hard working people and not care how much money they take off people.

Hi I ended up with the corsa the day after it went back to Bristol the head gasket Was gone I got it back today after 3 weeks the car is in worse condition my wife's items have been taken out of the vehicle it's dented filthy and has 600 more miles on the clock I've refused it and am going to take legal action. If u need any assistance or help in Bringing these people down I'd be happy to oblige. I remember the chap saying a dog handler had brought it bk from Devon for a c4 as they messed u about

Hi i got a car from the manchester branch in apríl,Théy gave me the car but needed to take it back to fix the loose front passenger seat.2 weeks later i take it back to get the seat fix only to Be told the finance had Been dećined And had to take finance with them Théy had me there for 4 hours And didnt fix the seat i was also Made to pay a 500 deposit.a few days later the fan belt went,i took it to a local garage who fixed it And folwers paid for it.now my head gasket gone And i dont know what to do

I have been in the process of getting a car from these idiots since April after been promised 4 different cars and also paying a 300 reserve fee the cars I was promised somehow have all had different issues apparently. I am going to call on Monday and tell them I don't want a car from them as I have been lucky enough to see the watchdog episode before actually getting a car I am disgusted I've never known anything like this company and I also have a 3000 deposit been treat like an idiot I'm so angry but just happy I didn't hand over anymore money hope you get sorted out ☺
