“Happy to take the money...”

Written on: 24/07/2017

I have been trying to get my original wills back from WWAPS for nearly 3 months now without success. When I told them I was cancelling my subscription I got a long e-mail telling me why I shouldn't. I confirmed that I still wanted to cancel and the only response since then has been auto-replies stating that the person I contact is out of the office and providing another e-mail address. When I try that one I simply get no response at all. Avoid them and use a local solicitor… Read Full Review

The person you need to contact is always out of the office......! Phone calls are a waste of time and so are emails. Questions are not answered. Your money is held in an 'interest-free' account.....so why do they not give you the money that has been bequeathed to you?

To clarify - I am not talking about a bequest. This company produced the will for me, and makes an annual charge for holding the same, which does also cover any amendments I may wish to make. I have informed them that I no longer wish to use their services but, despite e-mails and speaking to them, they have so far failed to return the original will documents.

Many thanks for the care and understanding that your team showed since the death of my father in law. A few years ago my parents-in-law had help and advice drawing up a Will with your Company. Your advice was brilliant. When my father in law passed away in the summer [name removed] were given our case. They have made the whole process much less stressful for us. They kept us informed throughout and answered all our questions and have been good representatives of wwaps… Read Full Review

“Stay well clear!”

Will Writing and Probate Services Ltd (WWAPS) did not prepare my Father's Will in the manner that it should have been prepared. The Will file they held for my Father's Will was inconclusive and we were therefore unable to find out why he left his Will the way he did. An independent solicitor examined the Will file in detail and concluded these findings. I would strongly recommend that you use a solicitor to prepare your Wills and administer your Probate as I have found this company extremely… Read Full Review

Statement from Will Writing & Probate Services Ltd..

This was a fairly normal estate comprising of two properties, one residential and one an investment property, various bank and building society accounts and a claim for an overpayment of Income Tax.

The decease left his share and interest in his residential property to his two children from his first marriage (with rights for his wife to remain in the property) and everything else passed to his wife.

7th November 2011 we were appointed to deal with the estate.

17th November 2011 we received the Grant of Probate

30th November 2011 we receive a letter from one of the children’s solicitor, stating they are considering a claim under the Inheritance Family & Dependants Act 1975, effectively holding the estate up for 6 months until 30th May 2012.

After lengthy correspondence the claim was not proceeded with.

On the 8th June 2012 everything was completed, 7 months and a day after we were appointed.
