Ordered one shed and one bike store via the worldstores Shedsworld site. Easy process, money goes out, confirmation and tracking mails come in. Done.
Staring off with a 5-7 day delivery time that turned into a 10-12 day delivery time due to being in an "extended postcode lead time", none of which was shown on ordering site nor the confirmation mails (in fact the tracking mail stated it was a 5-7 day delivery) after chasing up what was going on was not the best of feelings. This in fact finally turned into a 25 day delivery time (with a refund of the delivery fee as a concession given after day 17) whoppee!
However the 3-5 days advance warning of delivery was a call at 2.30 the day before (luckily I was booked off that day) and the shed turned up with one missing bit, one broken bit and a grumpy driver who mumbled that "we only delivery to the kerb" when I suggested putting it at the side of the house out the way (5 yds away)...nice. Back to the phones to get this sorted, including detailed descriptions and part numbers of missing/broken parts, a promise of delivery in 2 days - success?
No, only the missing part turns up. So to recap 27 days after my original order, 20/22 days after original due date I have in total 1 bike store and 1 broken shed.
During this time I have had to continually chase up what is going on, both on the phone and via email, and promised callbacks have been thin on the ground. So I demand a full refund for the broken item.
Easy you think, oh your naiveté.
First hurdle get the brain dead "customer service team" to acknowledge that, yes I am a touch miffed at this debacle, no I am not going to wait any more and you can take the shed back and refund me immediately. The response was akin to one of the old school grease monkey sucking their teeth. "well guvner we have to pick it up and check it first before we can refund and that may take some time" type thing.
Finally was contacted by the complaints dept who acknowledged the problems that I had had and "graciously" agreed to refund me immediately without picking the shed up and to arrange "a speedy pick up" as the shed was taking up a lot of space. 'Immediately' translated into 4 days before the email requesting the refund and 'speedy pick up' translated into 15 days of chasing for a date before giving them a choice of pick up or I dispose of the shed. They went for disposal.
They only rate a 1 as I can't give 0.
In short
DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! EVER!

wow, adding lying and comment manipulation into the pot as well
Dear Jazz,
Absolutely NO ONE has contacted me to "rectify the experience and customer service you have received" it was always me contacting them and NO ONE has contacted me since your post "to shortly to restore your faith in us"
AND
I now come home for lunch to find a note on my mat stating that someone had been round to collect the shed!! you know the one you said I could dispose of (and have emails confirming this). I've checked my messages, mails and texts and have found nothing from you or your suppliers to say they were coming. You do have an inkling that some people wok and are therefore unlikely to be in during the day?
AND
Just as a final nail to your utter incompetence the number for the customer service dept on the note (01884 252799) does not exist. Classic! oh and they spelt shed, shead...give me strength
