I ordered 55 square metres of Jura grey limestone and only on the morning of the delivery date did someone bother to call me to tell me that they did not have the stone in stock, that it was a 'special order' (no-one mentioned this when I put in the order and paid the money) and that I would have to wait for at least a week for the order to arrive from Germany. I was told via e:mail that someone would look into it and try to resolve it, possibly the tiles would arrive a few days late. But after 3 calls to speak to someone to escalate to the owner, no-one called me back. The next day I was told that due to short staff in the warehouse, my order would be delayed by 2 weeks and that they were going to cancel the order and refund me!!! Given that I a in the middle of a build with several suppliers and tradesmen lined up, this was a huge shock to me, but no-one seemed to care or to be prepared to do anything to sort out the issue which was 100% the fault of the company. Luckily I phoned around and was able to find several other companies that kept a good stock in their warehouse - why could Travertine Direct not do the same and why did they not mention this when I placed my order? Shame on you for causing so much unnecessary stress and for not pulling out any stops to try to resolve your screw-up / leaving me to fix everything. All I got was a refund and no apology. Recommend avoiding this company and using another one that has adequate stock and customer service that looks after the customer.

Ordered 24m2 of "ultimate" travertine as well as Tilemaster standard set adhesive. First issue was upon delivery seeing they'd replaced the Tilemaster (which is amazing stuff, very good reputation in the tiling industry) with grey rapid setting Larsen adhesive ... first of all, grey should never be used on travertine (or any light porous tile, secondly Larsen does not hold a candle to almost any other adhesive, and third I'd specified a lightweight standard setting adhesive ... this was not that. The travertine quality was fair, but next time I'm going to a local distributor who sells a superior product for the same money having looked at the crates he had in stock. There were a fair few issues with the tiles I received, from many chipped edges, to tiles with very large voids that were only suitable for use on the wall, poor quality honing and many dark stains from something in the crate during shipping. The tiles were sold as not commercial grade, and with very little filler - some of the tiles had a lot of filler. The colour was also much darker than suggested by both the website and the sample given. Another point on samples, I'd suggest ignoring it and travelling to see actual crates of stock to gauge, as this would give a more accurate picture of the product you will actually receive. To their credit they did arrange to collect the adhesive and promised a refund, although over 2 weeks later that still hasn't arrived. I've uploaded an album of images of the problematic tiles we received it should be noted that roughly 70% of tiles were of acceptable quality, but a chain is only as good as its weakest link. Our tiler was very good and managed to make the tiles look OK when installed, although we did have to source similar tiles from a local supplier to make up the numbers. I did email Travertine Direct with my concerns, but never received a reply.

Been trying to get some samples from here for 17 days now after several phone calls i've gotten tired of being lied to now,as a tiling specialist i cannot afford to deal with unprofessional people and having seen other complaints and pictures of their products and service i think i've dodged a bullet avoid this shower and source your materials elsewhere,I already have,one phone call elsewhere samples delivered 200 metres on site in three days-simple-

I looked for Travertine tiles for months, reviewed many suppliers and looked at many different quality stones but I can honestly say that the Premium Select light - Honed and filled tiles from Travertine direct are the best iv ever seen, my tiler agreed, its worth paying the little bit extra for them as they are even better than the most expensive ones from high street retailers, they are not filled with to much grout and are not to brittle as they are very compacted. They look so beautiful now they are laid, they arrived in perfect condition, well there was a tiny bit of damage to 1 corner, considering i purchased 30 sq meters i think this is fantastic. As for the customer service, well it was just as good! nothing was to much trouble, i had call backs when they were promised and even out of hours my emails were responded to! I cant recommend this company enough, I was so worried purchasing such a big order on line may turn out not so well but i am over the moon! I would say though, buy a little more adhesive than they may recommend as I was just short. But better than a company trying to sell you to much! :)Brilliant value for money! I ordered from Travetine Direct principally because of their on line price - saving over £1000 on a quote given by Topps Tiles. I was amazed at how easy ordering was & how Travetine Tiles bent over backwards to get my double builders pack delivered to me within 3 days of ordering, especially as I needed delivery by Good Friday in time for the workmen arriving over Easter! The quality of travetine is exceptional & customer service has been fantastic!the people I dealt with at Travetine Direct both bent over backwards to replace the breakages caused by the delivery company & kept me informed at all times. I have used travertine direct on several occasions and could not be happier. The tiles are always great quality and the staff are very knowledgeable, I can't fault them. I was really happy with the various delivery options and I didn't have to stay in all day which can be annoying I would highly recommend

Over the past three days I have phoned Traventine Direct and been told a member of staff will phone back. Three days and I'm still waiting, I was told by a call taker that you cannot speak to anyone directly they have to take a message and they will phone back. She obviously did not have the authority to used any responsibility and was like a robot just saying I will get someone to call you back. Useless!!!! they obviously have enough customers that they are not interested in any further custom.

This company sent me photos of what was actually in the yard, and the colour was a very good match. (Not samples that were way out of date)! And they got them to me for first thing the next morning. Great service, I would use them again.

I ordered the tiles after phoning TD to share concerns about some reviews Id'read - broken tiles, poor service. I was assured that if I followed their guideline any issues would be sorted. Needn't have worried - tiles arrived in perfect condition, on the day arranged - they look great & will look even better when they're stuck to the wall. The price was very good too - about half the price of shop baught

Looked round lots of the usual diy and tile shops when I was refurbing my bathroom but couldn't quite find what I wanted. Sales team at Travertine Direct were a great help. They talked me through range of options. Explained pros and cons of different tiles. Sent me samples with no hard sell. Found exactly what i wanted with their help, great value for money and my bathroom looks fabulous. The tiles are excellent quality, would definitely recommend.

we recently bought a large amount of tile and could not have been happier. We were concerned about some poor reviews but as we had been recommended thought we would still give them a try. they were professional, gave great expert advice and the tiles look fab. well done to Ed and Kally for their help and we cant recommend enough.

I have to echo a below review that the staff that work here need to leave and find a place to work that is professional and understands customers. All this company is interested in is making money or taking money from unsuspecting customers. If your transaction is lucky enough to go smoothly then you've done well. If something goes wrong, good luck. The sales staff try their best to rectify situations but management. This company is also part of M2Direct (or vice versa) who I came across online (they have the same address). For the effort it is worth, go to a high street store and view the tiles and also pay the extra £1 for the peace of mind.

This review is based on a recent purchase Travertine wall tiles from Travertine Direct. We were particularly impressed with the range of tiles on offer and they had a product that matched our needs and actually exceeded our expectations once fitted. The staff were very informative and arranged Grout, Sealer and Adhesive at a cost that fit my budget. Overall, we are more than happy with their service and value for money.

I am feeling so stressed. Realise have paid too much. Order arrived on a Friday when I was out, not on Monday as agreed. Luckily tradesman was at home to help with delivery. Loads of broken tiles and NO sealant. Now Travertine wont take my calls. Have phoned at least 20 times and left countless messages! What a nightmare. Do not use this Company! Unless You want to be ripped off and treated like dirt for the privilege.

These guys understood my needs as a developer. Bought trav before on line ...you have been the fairest to date.

A company that is a pleasure to deal with, fast delivery, accurate in thier description, light hearted but profesional. My delivery instructions were a little unusual due to limited access but they took it on board and delivered as promised. I can't fault them to be honest and will be ordering again for my next project.

I can't understand the poor reviews, everything was great. I was told they had staff issues for a while as I asked about the bad reviews. Hey, everyone has staff problems !! Can't recommend enough, price, service and quality.
