Like To Loan Money For Free To A Random Company?

Like a lot of reviews here ordered items that were shown in stock a week later no sign of them even being shipped despite the money being taken. Then advised they would be shipped in another week ! So toolbox can have your money for 2 weeks and supply nothing. I do not think any retailer who does this will survive and retain customers. When a refund was requested I was informed it would take 2-5 days even though they could recredit my account instantly. No doubt they will charge me for taking money under false pretense.

Avoid them at all costs I do not have time and money to throw around. I suspect this company operates on the very edges of what is legal.

2014 High Quality Goods, Honourable But Support System Rigid

My initial experience, 1st impressions of this company were that the customer support was poor.

They didn't seem to care.

This was based on them not being willing to substitute an item that was out of stock.

It was a £1.52 item (total order= £50) and i asked them to replace it with a torch £1.90, which yes was more expensive but only by pennies really.

I didn't actually want the torch but thought i'd make their life easy. It was the closest item that i could find to the price of £1.52. I was fully expecting it to be ok and a little shocked when they wrote back to say the difference in cost would need paying.

After the "Palava" I received the goods, which were Packaged Very carefully and precisely.

and I was impressed with the high quality of goods too.

Also since my problem, the company did write back and seemed to really care about making sure i was happy.

I'm starting to think the company is run by good people but with support systems that are too rigid, that don't allow their order managers to make "Courteous changes" to an order.

I gave this feedback to the company, they replied

"Thank you, we have forwarded this on to the relevant department for review"

If i'm honest the Outstanding quality of the goods, the way it was packaged and the eventual customer care has left me feeling much better about the company.

They are a little old fashioned and too rigid customer care that give the impression that they don't care

But i've actually warmed to the company.

The thing that blew me away was when the items arrived. Perfectly Packed with Love, care & attention

and the quality of goods, British made , superb quality (flasks out of interest) - tested them - brilliant!

So apologies for 1st impressions

I would recommend this company

Taking Orders And Money For Items Not In Stock

After ordering 3 hay forks at a good price I waited for a delivery. Two weeks later I emailed them, no phone, only to be told no more stock, try an alternative at nearly twice the price.

Only when I requested a refund did I get my money back.

Why did they not email me and refund me automatically.

Not a company I trust or will use in the future

Company Is A Joke!!!

Quick enough to take your money but don't keep promises when it comes to getting your item. Shouldn't be allowed to trade. Trading Standards will be notified immediately after this review has been left.

Avoid- Don't Touch With A Barge Pole

Worst Company I've ever dealt with. If your unlucky and things go wrong they go wrong big style. Don't understand the meaning of customer services and not remotely interested in sorting problems out.

Don't answer Emails questions correctly, No Phone numbers. Currently £725 out of pocket.

Avoid This Company At All Costs!

This company is a joke!

After seeing on their tracking page, that my oder was out for shipping, I expected it within a couple of days. This did not arrive so I contacted customer services. You cannot talk to a live person, only email.

I actually received a reply, that stated that my order was being shipped that day by City Link.

Needles to say, it did not arrive. I then advised Toolbox, that if it did not arrive the next day, I wanted a full refund.

Guess what? No reply!

A couple of days later I received an email stating that the item was out of stock, and that I would be advise on a shipping date, no mention regarding my previous correspondence.

I had to give 1 star to post the review, but even that is too much!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Go Somewhere Else

Item was delivered fast. That's the only good thing valet machine looked fine untill I used it when it shot rust out and stoped took allmost 3 weeks of emils and to different people to finely get picked up on 2nd atemp then had another courtier come to pic it up just over a week after it had already been picked up was told it would have to be sent back to.manufactures to looked at and tested witch I did not understand as I have been using seale tools for menny years and they just replace any think that doses not work

In the end I lost patients with toolbox and went to PayPal who got a full refund

Poor Service

Ordered a toolbox from these people, Item arrived via citylink, Opened box and it was badly damaged and no package protection which is a joke as they state in their returns policy that you must return items with protective packaging.

Contacted customer services which is an auto email and no real person replying to your emails so the emails you get back from them do not make any sense.

I returned item as getting know where by email (which cost me £15 as it weighed alot)

After sending item back, I recevied an email asking when I will be at home so they can send citylink to collect my item, which was clearly to late to which I told them this.

They received Item but did not inform me and I had to contact them again to which I got a reply telling me they have refunded me for the toolbox.

I am no out of pocket by £15.00!!!

Fantastically Cheap Tools!

I recently found 'Toolbox' after shopping on what appears to be their sister plumbing site and I have to say that I'm mightily impressed at the huge range of tools this company has to offer. I hate to think how hard is it to manage that many... Anyway, that's off topic.

Earlier this week my order arrived which included a leaf blower, a couple of hand & multitools and a risky buy ROK power tool which was crazy cheap (I only bought it to see what they were like). All products arrived in perfect condition and I was kept up to date with where my order was at all times which was a nice touch.

The Ryobi leaf blower and leatherman multitools were all of the quality I expect but Toolbox were cheaper than everyone else which is why I purchased there. But the surprise of the bunch was the ROK cordless drill, it set me back less than £20 (similar models from big brands are over £40) and it's possibly one of the best drills I've ever owned.

Without doubt on my next purchase I will be ordering more of the ROK range as they seem to be ridiculously well priced considering the build quality!!

Very happy customer yet again, thankyou!
