“Shambles ”

Very disappointing. When ordering website showed in stock 3-5 days. Did not arrive in time. My wife then called to chase and she was told that stock was in and everything was due to be dispatched! A email then arrived saying that the supplier did not have stock. What a shambles. Tomorrow is the last day my plumber is on site and the misinformation and disorganisation has caused us a significant problem. We would have appreciated accurate information rather than being misled. We could have sought alternative options had we been given the actual situation. I would recommend that you choice another company…..there will be with out doubt companies that are run better than Taps UK.

“If I could give zero stars I would”

If I could give zero stars I would. I've constantly been given the run around by this company and promised my order would be delivered, only to find out it hasn't arrived and then I need to chase it up again and again. I ordered products that were available online according to their website, only after 6 days getting told, after I phoned up, that they were out of stock and they were waiting for more. I was promised I would be receiving them in the next two days. Guess what no order received and I'm chasing them up again to be told I'd receive the order the next day. Guess what? Nothing. I'm furious with this company. It seems to be a very common thing to advertise products as available then keep you customer waiting as long as you want to get the actual items they thought you had in stock. I've just got kitchen cupboards put in and was wanting these lights in time for Christmas. I'd have thought two weeks would have been long enough. Wrong again. The irony of this is that I placed an original order at a company that did exactly the same thing. They said that the products should have been marked as out of stock on their website when I ordered them (they weren't). I found the same products on taps uk 'available' I cancelled my original order so I could place the new order with Taps and so receive my lights. What a joke that was! Avoid at all costs, and don't believe anything you see on their website about items being in stock.

“Avoid at all costs”

I placed a next day delivery order hours ahead of the deadline on a Thursday. System problems at their end meant that it wasn't picked up in time and so Friday delivery didn't happen. Had they raised it earlier, I could have made other arrangements elsewhere. No refund of the £40 priority delivery charge or sensible solution offered, just an e-mail at 6pm to say item would instead arrive 4 days later - which was unworkable for me. Had to call several times on Friday before they confirmed that they were "unable" to arrange a Saturday delivery and offered a refund (despite many national couriers offering this service - so basically that they weren't prepared to pay a little extra to resolve their error). Unreliable company with poor IT systems and even worse customer service - will never use again.

“try claiming on warranty”

The company are ok price wise but when you try and claim under warranty they revert to being compulsive liars. I bought 2 x items, the granite sink carried a 50 year warranty and the mixer taps 15 years. I followed through with the request from Taps uk to mail them pictures of both items, I pursued them for 3 x months until I recieved an email from their customer service team stating the following "Good Afternoon, Firstly please accept my apologies for the delay in replying to your message. At your request, I have offered your supplied pictures to our manufacturer, but they have indicated that these are not suitable for a warranty claim. To register your claim under the warranty, and prove that a fault was there at the point of purchase with the correct evidence, the only way to prove this would be to have the sink forensically investigated. I have been in touch with trading standards with reference to the crack that has appeared on your sink. Your purchased item does carry a 2 Year warranty, although this time has now lapsed, I am still happy to assist you in any way that I possibly can. However, after obtaining further information, Unfortunately, the responsibility for proving that this is a manufacturing fault does lie with yourself as a customer. Regards," I contacted the manufacturer myself and it appers TAPSUK have never contacted them whatsoever, I mailed the pictures I sent TAPSUK showing the hair line crack, within 2 x hours the manufacturers mailed me back stating the crack was caused through thermal shock and was therefore covered by the warranty, they have even offered me £100 towards the cost of re-installing the new sink they are dispatching. I have since spoken to TAPSUK to express my disgust in their pathetic child like email and I'm waiting for their reply.

“Terrible after sales service”

I ordered a ceramic kitchen sink from Taps.uk.com, intially the sink took much longer to arrive than suggested on their site, however this is not the issue. We had our plumber fit the sink, but found that the plug given for the sink would not hold the water in the sink. The drama around getting another plug for the sink has been ridiculous. Be aware that after a sale you cannot speak to a customer service agent unless you are prepared to pay a premium rate number. You can email, but the responses to our query have been less than poor, it has been 2 weeks since our first email and we have yet to receive a logical response to our query. We have been replying back and fourth to ever more ridiculous emails and still have no resolution, just a leaky plug. I cannot understand why a large company like theirs does not simply send a replacement plug in order to preserve customer service. Alas I would not recommend this company as the service was extremely poor and you will never be able to solve simple queries over the telephone unless you are willing to pay for a premium rate number, buy elsewhere as there are many other companies offering the same products at the same price with much better service.
