I bought £1694 worth of furniture from this company back in May 2012, by August, it became apparant that they were never going to fulfill our order. I had the same lack of response as most other reviewers on this site and so rather than waste time chasing them I submitted a claim to my credit card company. Hi if you want your money back contact citizens advise and your bank. Doesn't even matter if you didn't pay by visa as you can apply for a refund through the distance selling act. They will tell you step by step how to go about gretting your money back. I processed a claim against the company last week and my bank have advised full refund to me by Friday. Even if you received the goods and they are wrong and damaged you can get every penny back you paid.

Both their direct shop number and customer service number go to same voicemail - but you cant leave a message now as the message box is full. I previsouly left several voice messages and sent 2 emails to the info and sales addresses - absolutely nothing in repsonse. Having taken my money they told me the tables were out of stock. ( they tell you theyre in stock until youve paid up) Now they wont return money, dont answer emails and the phone doesnt get answered. I suspect this is just a box number somewhere and the company doesnt actually exist. Fortunately I paid by credit card so hopefully they will get my money back. This is basically online theft. Disgusting service, nothing short of a fraudulent scam. I ordered and paid for a bed last November being assured it was in stock and would be dispatched in 10 days. Now the middle of January, still no bed, and the promised refund hasn't materialised either. My wife ordered a Jaybee bed from this company at the end of November 2012. Payment taken and a 2-4 week lead-time quoted. As of the 16th January we have chased several times and been told it's on order and there are supply issues. After reading several recent reviews I became concerned and so contacted Jaybee beds who informed there were no supply issues. UPDATE 11 Jan 2012 16:29 - I have FINALLY got my refund, but it should not have come to this. The fact that customers have to resort to threats to get anything sorted out is indication that something dodgy is going on. I would advise against buying anything from this company unless you wish to go through the same frustrating rigmarole as the rest of us.

I have been in a similar position (waited more than two months...when I phoned, they kept saying it would be delivered but nothing happened for weeks even after I was informed stock had arrived), and in the end cancelled my order earlier this week. The lack of communication is shocking! I have still not got the refund that was promised. I don't know of any other company that takes this long. If I do not get my money back by the end of today, I will be doing the same and contacting trading Standards. They can also expect another bad review on here. Shoddy, indeed.

I ordered 2 day beds and after a few days I checked the size and I realised that one of the day beds would not fit in the third bedroom when extended. So I telephoned Alex, he was very helpful and changed the order without hesitation, to a 4ft 6" bed. I had decided this would be better in this room. I bought a day bed bunk beds mattresses with some other furniture for our new house. Alex and the team made sure all the furniture was delivered on time on the day we moved in, the delivery team unwrapped everything and removed the packaging. I ordered the Sherwood bedroom furniture from this company which stated on their website that delivery should be expected in 2 - 4 weeks. After 5 weeks I had heard nothing so I rang them and was told that my order was due in the next batch and I would hear from them in "a few days". Two weeks later and still nothing. A comment from Venture Furniture:
Firstly the order did take too long to come in from the manufacturer due to delays in production. We continually chase the orders going through production. Not an excuse but the reason for delay. The order sat in the delivery team warehouse as the customer was not available to take delivery. We had to pay an extra premium for a timed delivery and the delivery company we use could not make contact with the customer after continual attempts to contact.
The damaged piece has been refunded but not returned to us yet or any proof provided to us. The other 2 pieces have been retained by the customer.
The damage has occurred either in transit or in the factory which happens from time to time but as any other company we replace and exchange.
We are trying to improve all our systems and 25-30 orders a week go out from this factory and the lead times have been reduced.
We are very keen to please every customer but sometimes it does go wrong which we try to learn from for the future.

I ordered some furniture from them that took over 6 months to be delivered. During this time I had to contact them to find out what was going on as they made no effort to keep me informed. In the end I had to settle for a cheaper alternative item which when delivered was damaged and no refund was ever received for the difference.
