“Appalling Customer Service”

This site won't let me leave the review I want to leave, even though I haven't broken any guidelines, so I'll try this. This store promised me a discount, then declined the offer at point of sale. They overcharged me, and asked me to return to store to correct their error, and got very angry with me when I refused. They promised a delivery date which they failed to uphold, didn't contact me to tell me. They didn't have the advertised item at the advertised price. This store has THE worst… Read Full Review

You must be joking. I have 'discussed' this with you all so many times, and have had the phone slammed down when I simply stuck to my guns; when I was overcharged £80 I was told that a refund would be made for £70 and was 'reminded' that I would have to make the credit payments. Then again, then again..implying what?? I have never failed to make a payment on anything, ever.
No, you had your chances over and over. Now I simply want to warn others. Five months since I placed the order, and I'm still trembling with anger.
Also, why should I call you?! I had to call you to get a refund. I had to call you to get my (partial) refund. I had to call you when you failed to deliver on time....
If you don't like bad reviews, either get your act together, or don't have a review page.

Apart from that, I have had calls from your MD on more than one occasion. The last time he shouted down the phone "I have better things to do than talk to people like you..." Wow! Do you have a higher power who could resolve my complaint...?

“After 30 years no more”

Earlier this year we bought 2 Stressless Chairs there was a fault in the lacquering on one of the bases so a re[placement was ordered which was even worse. Taskers maintain that Stressless now insist the product is ok and will not doing anything more Be warned Taskers it may be by name but now it is a Sales driven Organisation - after sales is no longer that important. Loving my Montana suite - first time I have ever bought a recliner and I don't know how I managed without in the past.... Also bought a stain free saxony carpet at the same time. Never felt so posh - its a pleasure to come home from work, kick off my shoes and relax. Bought a fitted wardrobe for over £ 20000 February 10th this year, to be advised 6 weeks delivery. It got round to April, not a dickie bird. Rang up twice before I got a reply after being promised call back. After 2 days awaiting call back and asking to speak to Ivor the MD, assistant rang back to say German supplier missing some parts therefore, order will be available first week in May. I am disappointed to read your posting, further to our conversation I am very sorry for the delay in the delivery of your order and apologise unreservedly for the breakdown in communications in keeping you informed regarding the delay, as you are aware the furniture is in stock now and can deliver with considerable re arranging tomorrow, we quote delivery dates that are accurate at the time and we as company cannot be responsible if a supplier cannot for whatever reason adhere to their quoted lead time, but we will always strive to find a satisfactory resolution for our customers one which I hope we can reach shortly and would be happy for you to call or email me directly to discuss.

Pretty good experience for my first time at taskers. Salesman spot on although he vastly underestimated delivery time, 5-6weeks turned into 16weeks! Sales woman on Sunday afternoon may need showing how to mute a telephone as I heard every word of her sarcasm! Dispatcher excellent to deal with nice manner for extracting my hard earned. Having spent a while looking for a table we found one we liked at Taskers so went in another day to purchase it. We asked to buy it and when asked if they could budge on the price as we would have to collect it, the member of staff was rude, saying it was ONLY a table and we weren't spending enough to warrant a discount. We purchased a recliner suite and carpet before Christmas, total value £2970. As the delivery date was well after Christmas we were assured we would be charged the SALE PRICE. Which we were. “IS OUR LEATHER SUITE "GENUINE LEATHER" ???????”

On February 2011 we bought a suite, ex display, for £2,200, this was supposed to be half price. One arm started peeling and was inspected and repaired free of charge. This was done twice and the blame was put on our laptop. Bad guess, as our laptop sits on its own table at the opposite end of the room.
