I had to cancel an order worth £750 due to unexpected bad news, which meant I would need that money urgently. At this point I hadn't even confirmed my order.
I tried to call them within 48 hrs of placing my order but couldn't get through - only salespeople were available. I also emailed them but never replied.
I called them next day and they basically said that once the order is placed you cannot cancel it without a 30% penalty! However, their own website says that only after confirming your order you would need to pay penalty. So I never confirmed my order but they still want me to pay £250.
Never heard or seen anything like this (I have dealt with other furniture companies, for example Made.com, that are very clear and flexible on their return policy).
Sofology only says they will look into it but never actually do anything.
Very disappointed
