We bought the Willow 4 seater and three seater from Sofaworks last year. The sofa has pillow backs and we we told these cushions would need occasional dressing.. Within one month the pillow backs looked half empty and the seat pads were very dented and it was impossible to bring both the pillow backs and seat pads back to its original shape. No amount of dressing could do this. I have to take the seat cushions and pillow backs off and push into shape each time someone sits on the sofas. I have arthritis and find doing this each time impossible. I telephoned Sofaworks now Sofology and they sent someone out to look at it.. Without even touching the sofa he said that it was normal for this to happen. I told him I was not advised this at the time of sale. Ironically he told me that the stuffing in the pillow backs had matted and myself and husband should sit at night while watching TV and manipulate the stuffing! He said that is what he had to do with his. Again I was never told this at the time of sale and if I had I would never have bought the sofas.
I requested that they give me extra stuffing for the pillow backs and foam for the seats but was advised that they do not do this!
I have been dealing with the Customer Service Manager for over a year now and have got nowhere.. She offered to take the suite back but I would have to pay for the time I had it which is now over a year. Bearing in mind I complained after 4 weeks I find this unacceptable. My home has been decorated around the suite and I cannot afford to redecorate or buy new soft furnishings if I got another suite.
When I mentioned this to customer service I was then offered a different range of sofa in the same material. The sofas is not my style at all and I don't see why I should accept this as an alternative. They have now told me there is nothing more they can do. All I wanted was some extra stuffing and to replace the stuffing in the seats which I don't think is a big ask..
I am extremely disappointed and angry that I have got nowhere with my complaint. The whole episode has made me I'll and I would never recommend this company to anyone.
I have an appointment with trading standards and intend to take this matter further as I feel I was mis-sold the sofa and was not given the proper information to enable me to make an informed choice.
