“Completely misleading”

I ordered a sofa online and was confirmed 24 h shipment. When I called the next day to confirm delivery time, customer service told me the item was not ready for delivery and they had no way to confirm a date - could be 4 to 6 weeks subject to confirmation. I wish they at least had called to warn me Would not recommend to anyone.

“Terrible Customer Service”

I ordered a new sofa from here just after moving into my flat last week. I paid extra for the next day, 2 man delivery service and was expecting my sofa to arrive today. I have, only this morning, received a text to tell me that my sofa will not be delivered to me today due to a problem in their network ... I have now called their supplier, Worldstores (Dunelm) and told them that I have taken a day off of work for this delivery, that I cannot take any more time off after my move and that I needed that sofa to arrive today! They told me that the item will not be arriving today as it was picked by them too late at the warehouse and didn’t make it onto the delivery truck today. They offered me an alternative delivery date of Friday after I already told them I could not get any more time off of work. I have now requested a full refund and I will never use Dunelm or any of it’s ‘sub-companies’ again ... Way to lose customers guys!

“Terrible, Terrible, Terrible”

November 2017 I ordered X2 sofas, one next day delivery, one 8-12 weeks. 2 days after I ordered I had a text stating they could not deliver the next day. Out of stock, I sent 2 emails no response so called. Wouldn't be in till end of January. Still waiting so cancelled. The 8-12 sofa I ordered in red. They did deliver this one in January, however delivered a cream on. Refused delivery, spent an hour calling to find out what has happened. I was told they had a order for cream but confirmation email I had stated red. I would not use this company ever again. Gone to another company

“Shouldn't be trading! ”

Sofas World' part of Dunelm are disgusting and shouldn't be trading! They had £600 of my dads money for well over a month and kept fobbing us off about the sofa bed we ordered. Out of stock, it's in and we'll despatch it soon. We also got written confirmation on an email saying it'll be definitely delivered on the Wednesday, wasn't even on a despatch list! First they sent the wrong one, we arranged pick up and to deliver the correct one. They picked up but said the one for delivery is on another van! My sister and I rang them, they hung up on us more than once. We said we were contacting Trading Standards and our Solicitors. All the time this was happening our dad was in hospital having major surgery so he needed the sofa bed for when he got out of hospital. We are not happy about this and will never use Sofas World again, same goes for Dunelm. We had enough stress on without any of this. The money finally got refunded back into the account, but that only happened as we threatened them with action. The staff are terrible and how they got employed in the first place is beyond me. Really angry about this.

“Still no delivery after second time of waiting in”

Purchased end August and heard nothing for months, despite hanging on the phone waiting for someone to answer or sending numerous emails. Finally thought we'd got somewhere when a delivery date was confirmed only for nobody to turn up. Another four weeks later and a delivery date sent through. Again nobody arrived and still no sofabed. I have sent three emails requesting a refund and nothing. This company is owned by Dunelm who I have held in high regard until this experience. So still no sofabed or refund four months in!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

“Delivery date”

Was given a date for sofa bed delivery I took day off work for this was sent email giving date 5th dec 2017 waited waited rang was left to hold for 45mins finally got through for them to say it's on it's way..no delivery rang held again got through told me to book another date I told them I lost a days wage waiting for item they just don't care booked sat 9th was told its on its way be there for 1.3m I thought great. No delivery so I am still waiting I am single got family for Christmas no sofa work shifts losing days wage losing time for Xmas shopping this is out of order will never order from this store again rated 0 ... Was told 1 to 2 weeks del ordered 23rd nov

“Appalling Service ”

Wish had read reviews before ordering. My order did not arrive on my specified delivery date and I did not even get the courtesy of an email/call informing it was not coming. Sent email and was told it would take 72 hours so investigate which is an inordinate amount of time to wait. Tried to call several times but you can never get through to speak to someone.

So day before chair was due to be delivered I came across bad review after bad review of sofasworld. I admit their customer service line is appalling as you are basically on hold for up to 30 minutes before you get to speak to someone. However, in saying that I received a response to my email query within 2 hours to confirm my delivery was scheduled for the next day. Received a call from delivery drivers at 7.30am day of delivery and they arrived within the hour. My new swivel chair is beautiful and a great price. Happily relieved! Happy customer.

“ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE - RATE THE SERVICE AS NIL”

I ordered a chair and sofa on 14/917 a Monday, for delivery the following Tuesday. Ten days later carrier wanted to deliver a chair, no sofa, so refused. After numerous phone calls and again a delivery of two chairs, again refused. I spoke to five different operator who all assured me it was on order. Eventually I asked a reorder of sofa and chair. Carrier turned up with one chair, as after four weeks waiting and sitting on deck chairs i accepted one chair. After more phone calls and several emails I was informed after seven weeks and was informed by email sofa was out of stock and not available until January at earliest. By this time I was spitting feathers!! I insisted a temporary sofa be sent. They agreed this and a date for delivery of 10/11/17. Today is 17/11/17 and no sofa has appeared. I phoned today for the first time in a few weeks as I was fed up holding on waiting for someone and the phone bill is astronomical. Anyway I was given a lot more useless excuses and again assured I would get this phantom replacement, earliest date for delivery to be 24/11/17. Apart from anything else what about their advertised next day delivery!! . TDo not believe anything you are told I certainly would not recommend anyone using this company ever. I have 32 emails mostly from me to them, as they did not have the common curtesy to reply to a few of mine!! I have wasted so much time and energy on this. I do all my shopping on line, even bought my last sofa and dining room furniture on the internet and have never been let down like this. The ironic thing is there was not a thing wrong with my ld furniture, just I wanted a change. I donated it to British Heart Foundation where it has gone to good home at a good price. I await with baited breath for a whole week to see if a sofa is delivevered. The best thing to do is cancel right at the beginning, but I had paid a hefty deposit and entered into a credit agreement, so no chance of getting out of it or my money back with their record!! The saga continues as I intend to seek some form of compensation. DOES ANYONE FROM SOFASWORLD READ THESE???

“Absolutey shocking”

We have booked leave to receive a sofa on the agreed date, but it did not arrive. No one bothered to contact us to let us know - it was only when we called and spent 45 minutes on hold and eventually got through that we were then told they had no idea when the sofa will be in stock (potentially could take months) or when or if we will receive it. Strongly advise against purchasing anything from Sofa World, worst online purchase I have EVER experienced.

“Appauling customer service”

I had an absolute nightmare with this company. Ordered sofa on a select day which was my move in date. Didnt come because the van broke down. This was a saturday and paid £20 for the delivery. So you would think they would get it to me on monday. Well aparantly they dont deliver to my area for £20 on a monday. Told them I wouldnt be in so to deliver to a neighbor but they didnt even bother telling the delivery man that. He rang me and I had to explain to him what to do. Basically doing there job for them. So tuesday it was delivered and it was damaged. So then had to wait till saturday for a replacement. Yeah so basically ordered for saturday I moved in got it a full week later for £20. Pretty good , not. So then they gave me a good will geature £66 money back or discount and being an absolute idiot I chose the discount. Ordered an item with it. Chose a day 3 days after ordering so standard delivery yeah? No £10. Didnt come then they said there was a glitch so will send it tuesday instead of thursday. Well its wednesday and havent heard a single thing from them and still no item. Complete joke of a company if I was you I wouldnt dare order a single thing from them. Shocking customer service.

“Disgusting!”

The Worse customer service I have ever experienced, failed to deliver my sofa on the date specified, failed to tell me they wasn't going to turn up, then rearranged deliver for 2 days later, and again didn't deliver. I have called them today to rectify the situation and they have no idea when the product will be available and then when I asked to speak to a member of the a management team they put the phone down on me. I strongly recommend staying well clear of this diabolical company

I ordered a 2 seater slate sofa from sofa world. I was told ithe delivery date and was contacted an hour before delivery with a time slot. It was delivered on time and The sofa is beautiful especially for the price. . The delivery men unwrapped it checked that it was in perfect condition before leaving. This was fantastic customer service. I am very pleased with the excellent service, and will be definitely recommending sofa world to all my family and friends. Thank you.

“No-existant Customer Service”

I ordered a 2 & 3 setter settee from this company; duly delivered; but once unwrapped was unsuitable due to an illness the settees were far to hard and straight backed. Within an hour they were re-wrapped. Within 2 hours of delivery I emailed the company asking to return under their 'No Quibble Returns Policy'. The email response said 72 hours SLA, 5 days later; 6 emails, 27 phone calls I have had no response. I have just waiting another 24 minutes on the phone with no response. The service is terrible. I want my money back. I am sitting on a deck chair at home. I cannot recommend highly enough not to use this company.

“Shambles of a Company”

This company is a shambles. On Tuesday 25 July I spent over an hour on the telephone ordering 2 x 2 seater Estelle Sofas for delivery on Friday 28 July. On later checking my bank balance I noticed that I had been charged twice - 2 x £559.00. I rang back and was told to cancel one of the payments with my bank! I said no, you refund me one of the £559.00 which they agreed to do. Having no confidence whatsoever in the person I was talking to I rang back again on Wednesday 26 July. After 45 minutes on hold I finally spoke to someone who said that he would process the refund (hadn't already been done). Thursday 27 July I got an email mid morning saying that the Estelle sofas were out of stock, did I want to order something else, bearing in mind I was expecting delivery the following day. I replied with a new choice and asked for confirmation that the new item was in stock, only to realise that it was an automated email and no-one was actually sitting at the other end reading it to be able to respond immediately. I then waited on hold another 45 minutes before speaking to someone who confirmed that me new choice was in stock but they couldn't deliver until the Saturday. I said this was ok. Friday 28 July - I got a text at 8.30am saying that my Estelle sofas were to be delivered that morning - the ones that I had been told were out of stock! No problem, I took delivery of them Friday 28 July around 4pm - got a call saying that my revised order was due to be delivered Saturday 29 - I said no, cancel this order as I have already taken delivery of my original order. Anyway, 9 days later I am still waiting for the refund of £559.00 which was supposed to have been processed Wednesday 26th. I would not recommend this company as their customer service is disgraceful.

“Beyond incompetent!”

Ordered a single and a double futon from sofasaworld. Received a single base and a double mattress. So half of the order. Each element seems fine but unfortunately they do not fit together. Somewhere out there is an equally incompatible double base and single mattress. Unfortunately every attempt to contact the customer service centre has been lengthy and unsuccessful. The phone is simply not answered and e-mails are similarly ignored. The delivery service was equally beyond contact. "Where is the rest of the order?" we asked. "Ah, we had a fire at the depot" said the delivery man and it has been re-ordered. Any problems, just give the office a ring," . We did and again had no success - kept on hold for over half an hour on several occasions. I researched the 'fire at the depot' - it had occurred three months earlier, long before we had place our order. So, we don't know whether the balance of the order is at Sofasworld (wherever they may be - no address of course) or at an ArrowXL depot. Why is sofasworld so secretive about its location? My strong advice is to have nothing to do with either company. They both appear to be beyond incompetent.

“Avoid - go to a professional company”

Delivered the first unit damaged and the plastic it was wrapped in was covered in birds muck and black soot so it left stains all over my carpet. Wasn't contacted about a replacement until I chased and then had to take 4 days off work to wait for a delivery that I was assured would be with me each time but never materialised. When it eventually arrived it was (again) covered in birds muck and soot!! Dreadful systems, rubbish customer service - you get what you pay for......pay more from somewhere else.

“Full refund and no sofa”

I loved the look of the website and thought it would be really useful to choose my delivery date! Unfortunately my delivery date (18th) was changed without me being informed. When I phoned up to ask about it they explained it had been changed to a day that I wasn't available (19th). So I asked them to change it again. It turns out the driver still tried to deliver it on the date I was unavailable, then on the agreed date (22nd) waited in all day to receive it but nothing came. I was then informed they tried to deliver it on a different date (21st), not agreed by me. After numerous emails back and forth about how I felt let down by them, they informed me that it was in their T&C's that delivery dates could vary due to availability. I appreciate this, but at least inform your customer that you have changed it! I was offered a 10% voucher off my next order. When I asked for a full refund, I was offered a 10% refund. I eventually was able to speak to someone to cancel my order for a full refund. This company mess you around and don't care!

I have just purchased a 3+2 seater suite by finance today. I am expecting it to be delivered on Wednesday 18th May. Will my old 3+2 suite will be collected and taken away when the new one is delivered?
