“This company is awful. Ordered in November and still...”

ordered the sofa in november, so much for next day delivery. it is april and we are still waiting. it TAKES 30 TO 45 MINUTES TO GET THROUGH, and then they can;t give a delivery time. they say they will call 60 minutes before delivery. This says everything you need to know. How can you organise a company like this? I am looking to report them to trading standards first, but suspect we will be reading about them on consumer watchdog type programmes before long… Read Full Review

I made a order last tuesday paid the extra £25 to get it delivered on the day i wanted at first it never gave me the choice to pick my day had to call the company, They couldnt help untill the order went through to the suppliers, finally on thursday they changed it as i wanted it delivering on friday as i was not in untill then. “utterly clueless, useless, incompetent”

Had a desperate time with sofasworld. The very short summary (with expletives removed) - Given delivery date for our sofas - hang around for twelve hours (they refuse at any point to use a courier that provides anything useful like half-day slots etc). About 11 hours in, try and phone, can't get through. Send email, and get a rapid reply back (only good thing about our experience). “Sofas world totally brilliant!!!”

Ordered 3 seater 2 seater 1 seater Anton recliner to be delivered today. Delivered bang on time, great drivers, called 1 hour before so I could nip out for a bit. The suite is marvellous and a total bargain at 1k including delivery. I was prepared for a nightmare after reading reviews but everything went like clockwork and the sofas are fabulous. This must be one of the worst companies in the world. I'm still waiting for my item (having been told it will be delivered 3 weeks ago) and their customer service is a complete shambles and they never get back to me. Avoid them. I ordered a sofa in October for pre-Christmas delivery and here I am on Feb 9th waiting at home for a delivery and sitting on hold with your customer support for over 20 minutes. Also no one notified me my sofa would not be delivered before Christmas, you just ignored my support emails and I had to chase repeatedly to get any kind of response. I put one star because it won't let me do it without any! I was told my sofa would be delivered but didn't happen! I didn't hear anything from them. All I can say about sofas world is unfortunately I am just starting a losing battle with them. Have done some digging about them and dont know they are still active. They are also sponsored links on amazon & ebay. Ive found four different contact numbers but all get them same message& all cut off after 10min of waiting. I was told that my sofa bed would come one to two weeks- It came later. I then got told that i'd be notified an hour before it got delivered, they let me know ten minutes before hand. The bed was made poorly with bits of fabric hanging off. I never even received any screws to put it together! i now have no bed and have to wait over a week before it being it is being collected and a longer wait for a refund. “Next day delivery that doesn't deliver.”

My partner and I ordered a set of two sofas, and we paid for next day delivery. We were informed shortly after that the delivery would in fact be the day after that. No big deal, one day extra gave us time to dispose of the old sofa, arrange child care, and have the house ready. We called up on the expected delivery date, and were told that there was no way of tracking the order, but that it would be with us before 6pm. Absolutely disgusted by the incompetent service received from SofasWorld. “extremely terrible customer service”

1 star is too much actually. But had to choose something. Bought this sofa for my tenant. They complained that the sofa smelt bad, spoke to the customer services, who agreed to replace the sofa for free and we raised a request. The request wasn't dealt for many days and when someone came back to us the price of the sofa had increased, next day delivery for the same sofa wasn't available and they also said they would charge £40 for the exchange which they had originally agreed to do for free… Read Full Review

I ordered a Big Chill Futon with this company on the 24/10/2015 on next day delivery. Due to the fact that I ordered on a weekend this next day delivery was due to be delivered on the 27/10/2015 between 8am & 6pm so I waited in all day for a delivery that did not happen! October 2015 we bought Enzo corner sofa bed. 6 months later sofa looked very bad. Sofa was on Warranty. Ordered a sofa in August, was told 4 - 6 weeks delivery after hearing nothing and no sign of sofa arriving I emailed numerous times each time receiving standard reply very busy and reply may take up to 5 days, no reply ever received. “Absolute noghtmare company!”

My recliner Sofa's were delivered and they refused to let me examine them before signing for the delivery consignment. Upon unpacking them and assembling the cushions to the bases, I noticed that they were misaligned. Having sent the pictures showing them the fault, them sending Homeserve around to try and fix them; albeit they told me they knew they couldn't be fixed and then Homeserve confirming that the Sofa's were faulty from the manufacturers. Rang company before ordering as I work full-time and had to arrange delivery to co-incide with annual leave. Was assured this would not be a problem. Ordered sofas, booked day off and... waited in vain for 11 and a half hours. No sofas. Rang Sofasworld repeatedly. Was advised that sofas would be delivered the following day instead.
