I bought a sofa a swivel armchair and a chair just over a year ago I have had to have someone out to repair the sofa 3 times 1st time was for the cushion had frayed round the seams they replaced it for me which was fine. Then I had to get them out again because the base of the sofa where the seat cushions sit has started to tear in a couple of places in the middle they said it looks like something or someone has been putting too much weight on the seats !! I said like what they said maybe a dog or a large person to which I said my dog is not allowed on the sofa and when we are out he's not left in the room same when we go to bed so that is out of the question and there is myself and daughter living here and neither of us is above 9 stone so how can that be? He wouldn't do anything apart from some measurement of the tears and a couple of photos. I had to ring for a 2nd opinion to which I was told it is wear and tear they had been shown the photos and because I hadn't taken extended warranty out there was nothing they could do as the 12 months warranty had run out the week before. It's shocking a sofa should last longer than 12 months especially as I paid over £2000 for the whole suite . I would never buy anything from them again nor would I recommend them to anyone else

Hi there. Just been reading your review. Don't,t let SCS fob you off with these feeble excuses and rubbish about your warranty. Check up on your consumer rights either on line or through citizens advice. The only way to get a satisfactory outcome to your issues will be to persevere and continue to put pressure on SCS. You will more than likely have to raise a small claims action against them as many customers have found. Their policy appears to be to call your bluff until just before the court case when suddenly they will offer you a refund. Don't.t accept a replacement. It will more than likely be as bad as the one you already have. I fought with SCS for over 18 months and finally took them to court. They gave in at the preliminary hearing and gave me a full refund. All the best. You have my and hundreds of other previous customers sympathy. This company is horrendous.
