Warrington - poor service

We original went in with a quote from another supplier which we told they could beat. After receiving a price we decided to proceed with scs on the pretence that the quote included everything.

3 - 4 months later we had our moving in date and told scs that the carpet can now be fitted. We were originally told to give 10/11 days notice which we did. 'Were out of stock of the carpet you picked sorry'. You'd think this would have been preserved after sorting and confirming the finance. Obviously not. There was nothing we could do but wait another week for half of the carpet to become available. This is not what you want when your supposed to be moving everything on a specific date. Today half of the carpet was fitted by two helpful contractors which have done a very good job. However scs had failed to inform me that the price did not include fitting despite me being told they can beat a quote including fitting.

Immediately I rang to speak to the manager. He had originally put the price together for us. I advised I was not happy and that I was never made aware of the extra costs. I would have been better going with the original quote. He proceeded to tell me that it must have been an oversight from the person who's name was on the order. He must have obviously forgot he was the one putting the order through on her behalf as it was a large order with many size variations.

No attempt was ever made to rectify the situation and instead he started quoting fitting prices from other companies that would have been more expensive. I'm sorry but that was not the point I was trying to make.

3 times I went in to the shop to sort financing and final prices after measuring. Not once had this near £300 extra charge been mentioned verbally and all total costs quoted to me didn't either. To say i am dissatisfied is an understatement.

I was spoken to as if I no longer mattered as the sale had already gone through. I would advise to be extra vigilant with prices should you definitely want to go through this branch or company. Or, ideally just avoid them completely
