purchased a suite from scs for over 3k after 14 months the frame snapped when 1 person sat on what is suppose to be a 2 seater after inspection it was revealed it was built with rotten wood full of wood knots and had snapped right on a knot, as it was 14 months later and had no proof of purchase scs would not help at all even though this suite is exclusive to scs so could not have been purchased elsewhere I have never felt more ripped off

Hi,
I have successfully received money back from a similarly poor company but had to start a small claims process. It wasn't too difficult really, and never got to court as the retailer knew they'd lose, but follow the instructions and you should get your money back.

Also you don't need a receipt for proof of purchase, a bank statement will do. Ask your bank to help find the transaction.
