I purchased a sofa from SCS for a new build property in February. As I would not be able to take delivery until the new build is completed I discussed with the sales person if they were able to hold on to the sofa until I had move in. The estimated completion date is for mid April.
The sales person assured me this was not a problem - we agreed a provisional date of the 10th April - however, I checked at the time that this could be delayed if needed as there was no definitive move date at that point.
I've now had two calls from SCS requesting I take delivery and its still only March.
First first call - didn't seem to be a problem. They agreed to hold on to the sofa.
The second call the representative was snotty to say the least, stating "they are not a warehouse" and can I not take delivery to another address. I can't as it happens.
Seems like once they have your money customer service ceases to be a concern.
