“Ceased to trade”

It's Friday the 13th and I've just received a letter saying they have cease trading from the 12th, some of my order received, but a single wardrobe should have been delivered on the 22nd September, so so mad, monies taken and no wardrobe, just hope I can get the same product elsewhere!!!! absolutely disgusted in this company!!!!!

“Going into voluntary liquidation”

received a letter on the 13th Sept 2013 advising they ceased trading on the 12th Sept 2013 and they were going into voluntary liquidation. I have advised credit card company, trading standards and Companies House. I have been mugged for over £700 and only hope the credit card company can get my money back.

“No item, no money, no communication!!!”

I ordered table and chairs a month ago, delivery date is past. No money, no communication, they dont answer emails, and i have no idea what to do. The item was paid by my father, who leaves abroad, and don't think he can claim money back .. I am very angry and upset with this people. I think i just have lost more than £600.

“DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!”

I ordered bunk beds from this AWFUL 'company' on 19th August 2013 and have regretted it since. The website 'looked' ok and we received a confirmation of order immediately saying 'Thank you for your order and payment had been accepted'. After a few days I called the company as delivery was said to be 5-10 days and I was keen to organise things especially as I'd heard nothing from roomstogo. They pay another messaging service company to take their calls who answer 'roomstogo' but have absolutely nothing to do with the company and just say they will pass your message on. Like other angry customers this farce goes on until after several days of calling them and sending emails I decided to research the company. I was appalled and upset to see it was very probably that we had been tricked as other people had experienced the same problems trying to contact them and they never received delivery of their furniture. I immediately emailed the company to inform 'whoever' that we no longer wished to continue our order and would be seeking a refund. We called the credit card company and will hopefully be reimbursed once the credit card fraud team complete their investigation. I have contacted many people about roomstogo including West Yorkshire Trading Standards and Watchdog. This is a lesson well learned. I must also comment on how customer reviews for this company are either given 1 star or 5 stars. Very strange.

“ZERO COMMUNICATION AFTER PAYMENT. NO ITEM. ”

Website looked ok, checked out Companies House reg., ordered, received confirmation email. Then nothing. No item, no update, no response to enquiries, calls answered by an outsourced company. Delivery estimate date came and went. THEN I started looking at the reviews. This made me take immediate action.... Called my bank and explained the situation....they returned the money from the company to me almost immediately upon request. I was advised in these cases that the company then has 60 days to object to the refund on two grounds only: 1) the item was delivered by them 2) they have already given a refund. Never heard back from the company so I've got my refund and learnt a good lesson! BUYERS BEWARE.

“WORST COMPANY EVER TO DEAL WITH”

I ordered a midi sleeper child's bed from this so called "company" and its been by biggest mistake!!!!! The so called "company" have never returned my endless calls in a whole calendar month!!!! Disgraceful service. My husband and I are wondering if this is actually a fraudulent company as they wont even return my numerous phone calls or emails to find out what is happening with the child's bed I ordered!!!!! Since using my credit card with this company my credit card is now being investigated by our Bank's Fraud Squad as there are other items from various companies which we never ordered and this has only happened since we used our credit card on their website to pay for the bed!!!! Nothing but stress and hassle purchasing a bed from this company!!!! Do yourself a favour and buy your furniture from a reputable company

“No one to speak to”

Bunk beds ordered weeks ago, no confirmation, can only speak to a diverted answering service. Don't answer emails. In USA STG are fab as have bought loads from them, here they are a disaster, avoid like the plague

“WORST COMPANY EVER”

We ordered bunk beds from rooms to go for out girls on the 15/07/2013 as of 08/08/2013 we still have not received the bunk bed, not only that, we have had no correspondence from rooms to go as to when we can expect our delivery, the only think we have had is a conformation of our order when they took our £850 from us. I have been calling them for 2 weeks now an only ever get a 'messaging service' team who can put details through to rooms to go and ask for someone to contact us back (which they never do). Their website says delivery is between 10-15 days depending on stock levels but as I said we have ha nothing from them to even say they don't have it just now and our order will be delayed, they have given us absolutely nothing. And now that I am angry and only ever getting through to the messaging service, they now hang up on me when I inform Them I shall contact trading standards. Don't be a fool, do not buy from this company, this is the absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. Very disappointing

“Very poor customer service”

We bought a sofa from this company less than a year ago and the middle collapsed after just a few months use. When you call their 'customer service' number you get a messaging service only. All they can do is keep taking your messages asking someone, anyone, to return your calls. I did this three times, before emailing them through the website - still no reply. A few weeks had now passed, and so I called again, left another message ......... one month on and still absolutely nothing from the company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

“Lowest price Stompa beds!!”

We found roomstogo when searching for a new bed. The Stompa beds were by far the cheapest we could find when we searched. Delivery was 3-4 weeks which was OK. The product is brilliant, very strong and sturdy and does look very nice indeed.

“Poor Customer Service”

My wife ordered a Vermont 2 drawer wardrobe as part of our revamp of the master bedroom. We were unable to get a definitive estimate of delivery dates and our emails were ignored. We tried phoning and were promised return phone calls later but these never came. The money was debited from our credit card as soon as the order was placed, so this company has had the benefit of our hard-earned cash while we are yet to see any benefit from this purchase. I am now concerned that this is a "fly by night" operation which is quick to take your money but very tardy in supplying the goods. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I ordered some Jamestown bedroom furniture which we had delivered within 5 days. Well within the delivery times on the website, and quicker than we were told. That was no problem, quite a nice surprise for a change! The furniture went together without any real problems, quite time consuming but we ordered a lot. It looks lovely in out new room and we are so pleased.

“No furniture, no communication, avoid.”

Ordered a desk unit and chest of drawers in October 2012. Neither arrived. When I contacted the firm only the messaging service was ever available. The man in charge never responded to messages passed on to him. Emails to him bounced back. I ended up getting my money back via MasterCard with help from Consumer Advice after a long, involved process. Looking at the complaints history, they seem to pick an order every so often which they don't intend to fulfil and hope that the purchaser either claims back via their credit card or gives up chasing them. If you feel you must order from them, please use a credit card so you have some protection. I wish I had read the reviews of this firm before placing my order, I would not have used them. Since bought both items from reputable companies with no issues and for a comparable price.

“At last a competent online company”

After several attempts at having some of the Hampton white living room furniture delivered (all to no avail) we were reccommended roomstogo by some friends. The prices were really competitive and the service prompt. Delivery was also timely and efficient with the drivers being polite and helpful. After some very poor online experiences this really was a refreshing change, but all you would expect? Why can everyone else not be as good!

I was looking at the Cambden range and found it at Rooms to Go cheaper than anywhere else. I e-mailed and got a list of the stock I wanted the same day. 2 of the items weren't in stock until 1 May. I was concerned after reading these reviews but got evertyhing delivered on 16 May. My main (slight) concern was not hearing from the delivery service which RTG say is out of their hands but overall I am pleased with the furntiture.The person I e-mailed always replied to my queries very promptly.

“Great product and communication”

We absolutely love our new Lyon walnut bedroom furniture! The delivery took about 10-11 days which is good, pretty quick really. The furniture is really lovely and we are delighted with it. So chunky and a beautiful soft close on the drawers. Our only slight criticism was we had to chase delivery. We did get a call back the following day and we had explained to us that delivery was done using a separate company and they would contact us directly. They did but it did make me a little nervous and I think they should make this clear. Otherwise we are very happy!

“Great furniture, great price but poor customer service”

I ordered 3 pieces of Walnut Lyon bedroom furniture on 1st May from Roomstogo Which totalled over £1.000. I received a confirmation email then heard mothing so emailed them on 8th May asking for an update on delivery. I was told my goods were being delivered to them that day and their delivery company would contact me the following week to arrange delivery. I started looking at online reviews and then panicked and thought I had thrown my money down the drain. The folowing Thursday I had heard nothing to sent amother email and received a phone call to say delivery would be made on 21st May between 5pm-8pm. I wasnt holding my breath but my furniture was delivered as planned, no damages and it looks great. I did have my doubts after reading other reviews but everything went as planned so cannot fault the company. I do think their customer service would be improved though, perhaps with emails to keep you in the loop. All in all a positivr experience.

A really quick delivery service (advertised as 2-5 days) which turned up on time along with a most helpful driver to assist me in bringing the items in. The bed was a beautiful white, as described and is nice and sturdy. The mattress also seems to be very comfortable which has made this a most pleasant experience. I found the whole experience a pleasure! They were the cheapest I could find online for the furniture I wanted, gave free delivery, and within a few minutes of ordering I received a call to confirm my order and a delivery time. It arrived the next day as promised, the delivery men we're polite, courteous and offered assistance positioning the furniture. Would definitely recommend and use again.

“No Contact, No Response, Just 'The message service'”

The customer service for this site is terrible, they do not respond to e-mails and when you call it always goes to a third party message service who tell you that all they can do is send an e-mail. This site appears to be ran by a very small number of people, if you have any query at all then best of luck, you will not here from these guys.
