I wish I'd read reviews before placing my order with Ikea online.
I was given an estimated delivery date 8 days from the date I placed my order. Three days after paying for my goods (a few hundred pounds), DHL contacted me with an actual delievery date 26 days from the date I placed the order. This date was no good for me as I would be away on holiday then straight back to work afterwards so could not push the delivery back.
On contacting Ikea customer services they said they have the goods in stock so it is not their fault if DHL are busy. So who's fault is it? Why do they use DHL for deliveries? How can they justify charging £35 for such a dreadful service?
I am bitterly disapointed as I have no choice but to cancel the order and spend even more time shopping round for furniture. I certainly won't waste time by ordering from Ikea again.
