I would have had a similar suite of bedroom furniture from another upmarket furniture company for less than half the price I pay Hammonds. Given the reputation of the latter, I thought I am paying for the quality. I could not have been more wrong.
The designer came twice and the surveyors three times. The joiner partially put up the furniture then took them down two weeks ago in one bedroom and one week ago in another because of some specified or unspecified errors.
Another joiner came back for the first room today to give another try. When I heard him spending long time talking on the phone again like the other joiner did I knew things went wrong again. I asked him what was going on, he said he was waiting for instructions.
A six-day job dragged on over nearly two months!!!!!!!
I know why I am paying them so much now: for the wastage, for the miscommunication, for the incompetency and for the inefficiency.

I have just read complaints on some complaints board about Hammond's furniture falling apart in just six year and the terrible experiences of trying to get things rectified (and pages of similar stories there). I can only keep my fingers crossed now

Hope your issue has now been sorted now? All our furniture comes with a 10 year guarantee and all customer issues concerning furniture faults are always dealt with directly.
