I ordered a sofa and pouf a number of weeks ago from Habitat on line. On following up on my order over a number of weeks I was lied to on a couple of occasions. Firstly I was told the pouf was in stock awaiting delivery of the sofa, I called a few days later and spoke to the same assistant to be told the sofa was in and not the pouf, I asked her to double check as she had told me the week before the pouf was in stock, she double checked and said it was definitely the sofa, I asked could this be delivered separately, she said 'lets see in a few days'. This left me extremely suspicious I called the next day to be told by another assistant they were waiting on the stock coming in, when I told him I was told the sofa was in by another assistant the previous day, he looked again and apologised 'my mistake the pouf was in stock'. I immediately asked to speak to a manger, no one was available they would call me back at 10.30am, no one called back. I called later that morning spoke with a manager who apologised and said it had been a genuine error, and all would be in on the Friday, I queried how this could be when she hadn't checked with her supplier to be told it would be fine she would call me back on the Friday gave me her number and email. She did call on the Friday to be told nothing was available and it would be after Christmas, I immediately cancelled my order and requested a refund. My refund came within 4 days. I would be very cautious when ordering from this company, on order they take the cash and you could like me be waiting a long time with a trail of lies to cover up non stock.
