ONLINE VIEW DOESN'T SHOW HOW SHABBY AND UNCOMFORTABLE IT IS

I saw this sofa on line and was looking for something purple and on legs so that it was accessible underneath for cleaning -- this was a lovely heather colour. I was delighted it was also on very modern chrome legs -- perfect i thought. The product was delivered really quickly and the delivery men put the chrome legs on on site. And there it was the sofa and chair -- looking the part of a three seated sofa and a chair and for me a novelty that was an easily accessible cleaning space -- and the sofa an chair were light in weight.. No more heavy furniture !! That was a happy moment. Then the delivery people left and i settled down to sit on the sofa.. Omg how uncomfortable it was !! The back is so straight you are in an uncomfortable bolt upright position and it is so hard you have no room to relax in to the cushoining of the back. It was awful --- then i noticed that on the chair the back central part of the chair was shoddily constructed with a very sloppy looking middle it that had no 'finish' to it at all and a big gap from the middle section to the side sections -- you can see it as soon as you look at it. Incredibly bad workmanship -- awful shoddy look for a new sofa -- so i called the customer service and they were actually very nice and said that they would send someone to look at that, well i accepted that -- the 'technician' duly arrived and fiddled about a bit squeezing and squishing and saying that it will soften into place -- well it has the gap has become bigger and looks even worse !! And i hardly even use the chair, anyway back to the sofa --- these ghastly chairs have no real cushions they are all for show !! They are sewn into place to look like cushons --- you can not plump them up or move them about -- after about two months they became so squashed that i was hitting the wooden structure support underneath.. It was shocking -- so i was back to the customer support and yet again they were very nice and said they would send a 'technician' - well this was delayed by me on and off as i was not ready for various reasons to have someone in my house... Finally he turned up and took a few photos that in no way showed how awful and cheap the reality of this furniture is -- and he rightly pointed out that it was a case of you get what you pay for... And to be accurate even when you buy something in the spring sale and you think you are getting a lovely looking sofa for within your budget even then there is cheap and then there is this which is disgustingly awful -- all the everyday crumbs etc can not be cleaned from the gap between the main cushion and the 'arm' effect... Everything falls down this gap -- not to mention the huge gap at the back of the sofa that pens etc seem to jump in to and you have to fish to get everything out -- as far as the 'arm' gap is concerned i was unfortunate to lose a one pound coin down the gap and it went straight down to the bottom and it is impossible to get it out -- i even asked the 'technician' to try and get it out but he too was unable to do so and continued taking useless photos of the sofa -- the report of the 'technicians' visit has just arrived back and the conclusion of the visith for this sofa that was even described in the report as a leather sofa even thought it is made of a cheap and nasty fabric that marks the second you sit on it with pile that is thin and an awful synthetic feel to it -- there is so much more to say -- non of it positive -- apart from it does look smart and modern --- just the quality is non existent -- it is made so cheaply it is embarrassing -- i have now got a load of junk on my hands and am unable to afford to go to another shop for a decent sofa with real cushions that you can move around and plump up normally and that has more than looks to credit it with. Omg i have been such a fool to buy on line -- never again -- i will go and see for myself in a normal shop --- why did i buy on line ??? Well it is because i have multiple sclerosis and find it very hard to go shopping in big shops and i thought i would be ok to shop on line.. What a fool i am it has been such an awful experience --however the staff on customer service were lovely but their hands must be tied somehow with the knowledge that these sofas are rubbish -- and what can they do about that fact ?? -- the irony is that the report that came back to me said ===== wait for it === "the customer's expectation was too high " !! -- well to be quite honest i was not expecting a shabby pile of cheaply manufactured uncomfortable junk !!!
