Very terrible experience. I went to the store to cancel an order, was promised it will arrive before christmas but didnt. The general manager was very rude, he did not tell me his full name, i asked because he was not wearing a name badge and i needed to know who i was talking to. When i asked for their refund policy, i was simply told, there is none. The manager refused to tell me how to escalate the issue further when i insisted i wanted the order cancelled, since i havent received them. I was shocked when he told me he will not accept my request to cancel and he will deliver the furniture to my lawn, again not indicating when that will be. I have an audio recording of him saying he will deliver the furniture to my lawn

believe they don't even deserve 1 star staff are rude afterwards have arrogant attitudes towards the customers who pay their wages by buying into this no trust worthy company seriously they offer no responsibility whatsoever in their products take a 25% return policy in what they classified as bespoken furniture or products seriously how can a rug which is shown in all their branches be bespoken or lamps etc l think this Furniture village needs to be named and shamed on rip off Britain so people are made aware of them as reading up on here you can just see the real reviews

RIDICULOUS ????, Avoid this place specially the person call SALIM, rude and unprofessional, he judge you with your appearance full of attitude like he’s the owner of the store, pathetic service, I ordered sofa almost 2 month now they changed the delivery date 3times now, i had to cancel my work schedule for this, they wasting my time, they promised to deliver within 3 weeks before purchasing, once you place your order they start to take pis because you cant even cancel after, Everything is overpriced they mislead you with the sale price, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE, instead go DFS next door or FURNITURE OUTLET Dagenham, I regret ordering from them ????

Very bad service. Poor quality products. Warranty not worth the paper its written on. Bed frame not assembled properly. Creaks since day 1. Mattress indented since day1. Bolts not secure and screw holes broken. Mattress was left in warehouse upright for more than a week. Very disappointed Got the order wrong and had to speak to sales on multiple occasions.

We purchased Two Missouri 2 seater sofas and 1 armchair in April, took delivery of the furniture on Saturday 24th June 23 and by the 3rd July 23 we were reporting a fault with 1 of the cushion pads on 1 of the 2 seater sofas, the company sent out One of their technician/independent assessors? Who came and did a report at no point would he give an insight as to what he thought which casts doubt over his impartiality, and we have just received his report saying that there wasn't a problem and are request for a repair of the cushion pad denied! Hence I hasten to add we will seeking advice on this matter via the CAB and Trading standards in relation to our rights in this situation with a potential view to having the whole list of furniture removed, I must add that I believe that Furniture Village may well be One of the most unscrupulous companies we have ever dealt with.

“Delivered damaged furniture. No replacement. It's been 3m”

They have delivered a partially damaged chest of drawers. Very expensive one. We've been on the phone with them about 10 times, getting frustrated. 3 months later they delivered the wrong replacement. I am done asking. Since I am a marketer, I am going to build a landing page with an attractive lead magnet and pay for the traffic. I will create a great Anti-Furniture Village Campaign, find all unhappy customers and invite them to leave negative video reviews. Let's see how Furniture Village likes it when people fight back!

What an absolutely horrible customer service they provide. Still cannot get anyone from their head office to call me, all they can do is email as say they are sorry for the disappointment. They have tried to over charge me out of £1000 by supplying me with an old model sofa. And none will call me to discuss

After sales service is non-existent. Policy and process are not designed to facilitate timely resolution for post sale issues. Management do not take responsibility for what they’re paid for. 3 weeks after delivery of damaged table and chairs we’re still waiting for confirmation of replacements. Carefully consider risk of purchasing high-ticket items from this retailer

“Unhappy and angry”

Furniture Village. We bought 2 settees over 2 years ago (1month out of guarantee), We are older people and do not have youngsters jumping all over the furniture. The Footstool barely gets moved but has tears/rips along the bottom, where the material was stretched too hard over a sharp edged backing board. Both settees are showing sign of wear and tear in as much as, the material rucks up and needs to be smoothed back into place after each sitting. I think this maybe due to the inferior foam inside which is deteriorating. We were hoping that this would be the final settee we would ever have to purchase . We are so angry and disappointed and FV are simply not interested. Obviously we will never use them again. I thought they were a reputable company. Furniture Village. “Avoid at all cost”

No aftercare. If you have a problem with your furniture they will not rectify. They send a technician that sides with them to avoid saying its a manufacturing fault or offer a repair. Do not let them fob you off this a a ploy to stop dealing with you. Take legal action and get an independent report to back you up. 35 + emails and they basically ignore you and pass you round the office. Disgraceful company. Take customers hard earned money and deliver sub standard furniture. Will never shop there again. Avoid at all cost.

“Furniture Village Thurrock Lakeside”

We ordered Gplan furniture from FURNITURE VILLAGE THURROCK LAKESIDE. Given a date for delivery, so we then contacted the Heart Foundation to donate our old Gplan furniture which was in very good condition, to collect it on the day before. On the day of delivery we got a phone call from the driver to say they had no furniture on board for us. Contacted FV and they said that our furniture could not be found. Two weeks later they informed us they could deliver our chair, what turns up, our sofa which was damaged. In the end our suite had to be reordered & was promised before Christmas. End of November my Wife & her friend happened to be at Lakeside so they called in FV to see how things were progressing & the manager informed them that the delivery would be after Christmas. He denied he promised delivery before & my Wife was called a liar & was sworn at. When the delivery was made in the January the sofa again was damaged. So in the end we asked for our money back which we had paid in full just before the first delivery, 5 months before. We Contacted the Ombudsman to complain, in the end it was agreed to pay us a miserly £300 for all the trouble & a lot of stress they caused us. So we visited FV once again & they refused to pay us any compensation. So this is why we are writing about this, it's not in our nature to complain but we had to in this instance. This is only part of the story, if we completed it in full it would take 3 A4 pages long. If we told you how many times we went forwards & backwards to the store to try to sort this nightmare out you would be astounded. We must have spent 3 to 4 hundred pounds in petrol. This is just a warning to everyone out there if something happens to go wrong at THURROCK LAKESIDE you may encounter the treatment we got, so be very careful. If you want competitive prices & excellent friendly service go to The QUADRANT at CHELMSFORD.

Had settee less than one year the leather has peeled off leaving an 10x6in bare patch lighter than rest nether known anything like sent photo to FV told me they were going to nothing cot £1200 waste of money beware they will do nothing Southampton branch

“Broken bed delivered, awful customer service”

I ordered a bed in store. On delivery the men didn't come in the morning time slot arranged as they had not loaded my item so waited all day. On delivery as they were running late they could not complete instaling it as the drill holes were incorrectly placed so it could not be put together fully and they did a shoddy job on what they did. The service is very disjointed so it was referred to the furniture repair company who work totally independently. I then had to wait 6 weeks as there are very few furniture repair workers in my area. When he arrived he fixed the first problem but identified that the boards making the bed were broken and so I was put to the back of the queue for another 6 week wait for those to be repaired. On repair day the worker didn't turn up when arranged in the morning so I waited until 5.30pm and then when he arrived he didn't have the part so did absolutely nothing and left again. After multiple calls to furniture vilage, the original store manager they offered me a new bed instead. Then after 3 weeks said actually I can't get a new bed as they don't have the right colour. So then I was put at the back of the 6 week queue to get it fixed again. The man didn't turn up in the timeslot again so I waited all day but at least he had the part and he identified that the first people had put some things the wrong way up so they were broken too and fixed that. I then had numerous calls and tried to speak to a manager to get compensation, waited for manager call back which never happened. Eventually got very little. The bed was expensive and its not even good quality but the customer service is really appalling.

“Cozee leather sofa ”

Purchased cozee leather sofa , felt fantastic in the shop ,after only six months of sitting on it the cushions had sunk , the leather had peeled off , contacted furniture village , they sent someone out , I was assuming to asses it and replace it , no i I was wrong he sprayed the leather and said job done . One year on more top leather colour has come off ,sofa is so uncomfortable , arms have no padding wood digs in your side , sofa has sunk even more and a bar underneath has Broken, this is advertised as one of there premium sofas , I beg to differ .

furniture village old trafford WARRANTY DODGING RETAILER furniture village old trafford COZEE RUBBISH LEATHER SOFA £1200 Warranty dodging retailer .... furniture village old trafford. rubbish cozee leather sofa. 4 months old, but they just ignore customers who complain .they claim they can NOT do anything EVEN THOUGH ITS GOT A 2 YEAR MANUFACTURES WARRANTY. 20 YEAR COMPLEMENTRY WARRANTY 5 YEAR A GUARDSMAN WARRANTY ITS COVERD FOR NOTHING..ALL THIS AND COVERD FOR NOTHING. A 4 MONTH OLD SOFA..can you imagine what there sales people have to put up with all these faults none of their problem.... please be carefull buying from furniture village,any where..and dont get tricked into buying the gurardsman, 5 year guarentee because its totally worthless..even their 2 year manafactures warranty is non existant in may 2021... we orderd a cozee. 3 seater leather sofa.cost £1200 we were tricked into buying guardsman 5 year extra guarentee. because its totally useless . we waited till the end of october 2021 to get this sofa, looked great . felt very comfortable it was springs inside... the cushing inners...then about 6 weeks after..we noticed the cushion had sags in the leather, a crease started to form..leather with a ugly crease and sagging cushions. did not look good.tried to call them but impossible.nobody around.tried email too. they wont reply either. tried to make a claim on the 5 year warranty but they wont do anything if its still under manufactures warranty. so we tried to sit on one cushion to see if the cushion plumped back ..but not enough to take the sagging out..then we started to feel the springs in the cushions come thru. tried to phone these people..but cant get through..emailed them but no reply,, so went back to the store..told them the fault... they we quite good and emailed.their claim dept. a few days after i got a email.asking me to send photos.which i did. got a reply finally..sombody will get back to us shortly..we did get a call from an asessor..saying they cannot even look at the sofa for months..then make a decision.and get back to furniture village.for them,to get back to me.but by then the leather will need replacing .so a total waste of time. i gave my old sofa to the charity shop.thinking id bought a decent sofa from a reputable company. so people be very aware..Cozee leather sofas have paper thin cushion inners. not like in the show room the sofa ..like you sat on..i even asked for the one in the show room..but thats a special item.. my sofas only 4 months old.with a 5 year guarentee and starting to look like a dossers sofa now and ive not heard a word from furniture village o r even an email after i sent the photos not heard anything from them yet. been waiting over 3 months now and the sofa looks horrible..so remember take this as a warning. 20 YEAR FV COMPLEMENTRY WARRANTY. 2 YEAR MANAFACTURES. WARRANTY. 5 YEAR GUARDSMAN WARRANTY ON A 4 MONTH OLD SOFA. AND YET I STILL HAVE TO TAKE YOU TO COURT. BLAH BLAH BLAH . to all your replys thats all they are..replies yes generic replies thats all they are. yes another useless reply REALLY! it cannot be made up!

Bought a bedside cabinet online and was advised 'in stock - 7 day delivery'. When I never received an update to advise delivery date I contacted FV and was told delivery would be 6 weeks away, no apologies just an arrogant don't give a damn attitude. Canceled the order and the refund is still pending in my PayPal account 10 days later. Shop with this unprofessional outfit at your peril, they don't care!

Ordered 6 dining chairs on the 4th June was told by the sales person that they will not go down in the sale as they have just had one. Paid by credit card, received call a day a go to say our chairs are now in and we are going to collect them tomorrow. Sitting watching telly tonight and to my surprise they have a sale on. Am I in my rights as haven't picked the items up yet to ask for them to be reduced which is a massive £300.00? Money is tight for us (most people), I can understand if I have taken the goods but I haven't. Please help!

Seem to be having an allergic reaction to my new leather chair, giving me breathing problems and my husband a headache. It has a really strong smell - not of leather but more chemical. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
