DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Arranged numerous times to have my furniture delivered only for it to not arrive, but was never informed by the company. When I called up to find out where the delivery was I was given awful excuses like "the delivery men didn't get to the warehouse in time to collect the items" or "the items require 2 men to deliver and they didn't realise so they only had 1" Tried to speak to a manager who refused to talk to me. Decided to cut my losses and cancel the order only to never receive the money back. Ended up having to get the bank involved to forcefully remove the money from their account. Worst customer service EVER! No information given even when promised that they would call if the delivery would not happen for any reason, and a manager who refuses to talk to customers!! Don't waste your energy- spend a little more and actually receive your furniture!

“Item not delivered and no refund”

I ordered a wardrobe from Furniture UK on 17 September 2014 and payment was immediately taken from my card. I was informed that the item in question was not in stock and the wait time would be several months so I asked to cancel the order. After several months chasing via email and phone, I am yet to receive a refund or a response from the company. Their phone lines appear to be disconnected and the emails bounce. Avoid at all costs. I am now looking into my options in terms of possibly taking them to a small claims court.

This is all true; found out today Co is in liquidation BUT still taking orders AND have another company selling the same stuff so WATCH out. Used B/card so hopefully will get my money back. Surely there is a law against this type of deliberate fraud where they know they will take the money but never supply the goods?

“Don't buy from here”

Bought some coffee tables from here had to wait months ... Then when they finally arrived they were rubbish quality is really bad .. I would not buy from these guys every again

“Horrendous -Paid for items 12 weeks ago & still not...”

I ordered two items on the 15th October. When they hadn't been received I chased them up. When they were eventually delivered, 10 weeks later, one of the items was missing. I queried this with them and was advised it was out of stock and would be back in on 19th December 2014. I had not been advised they were out of stock before now. The 19th has been and gone and my item has still not been delivered, and all of my phone calls, emails, messages left through their website have not been responded to. My advice.... DO NOT USE THEM!!

I placed an order for a cabinet back in August with the promise of a delivery time of 5 days!!! I'm still waiting .......their phone line constantly rings or when someone does answer excuses are made about logistics, I was promised a cheque refund, which is dodgey straight away!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, luckily my bank is investigating and have refunded me, Google the directors you will come up with two very suspicious characters!

“Incorrect Chest of Drawers & Refusal to communicate !”

I ordered a chest of drawers described as "golden pine" and "lacquered" on furnitureuk.co.uk. But when delivered, it was much darker - a sombre grey stained wood not matching the website's description or photo. And there were cracks in the joints, making it unfit for assembly. I phoned them within 24 hours of opening the package, requesting a refund/return, and I sent photos as they asked. But after that, there was no reply at all from them for 2 weeks until I complained to official bodies. Then came an email, "We never received the photos from you". But, of course I had sent an email and posted 3 letters, all enclosing photos. Look carefully on review sites and there are over 50 implicating reviews - including bouncing cheque refunds, huge delays, dishonest behaviour and refusal to communicate.

“Still waiting for my wardrobe”

I ordered and paid for a wardrobe from furnitureuk on the 15th sept 2014.I have spent a lot of time phoning them,most of the time I got an answering machine,when I did manage to get them it was "we will ask logistics".9 times out of ten nobody got back to me.When I managed to talk to them it was its not ready yet.and it will be ready for couriers to pick up.twice they said it will be collected.I did phone TMF couriers and they had no record of this.I reported this to furntureuk,now they say they no longer deal with these couriers.I am sick of this and I feel they are lying to me.I questioned furnitureuk today about being in liquidation and they denied it.And they would get back to me today. still waiting.I would never use this company again,and advice people to never use them.I feel they are rip off merchants.Also the girls who answer the phones all have the same voice,FISHY. I wonder if they read these complaints if you do WHERE IS MY ORDER. I shall be in touch with Trading Standards.

I too have gone through this. I highly recommend speaking to your bank about a charge back! it has worked for a few people, in which the payment is reversed and investigated.

I think we should start a group action against them with fellow customers suffering the problems and take them to court. you will not get your goods or money back from them if my experiences are anything to go by

“Do not use them!”

having waited 6 weeks for a wardrobe delivery ( not 5-9 days as stated ) I was told the stock was unavailable. I was offered a refund that could only be paid via a check. After 3 weeks of no check I was told a refund would be paid via bank transfer, currently after another 2 weeks and despite calling every day I am yet to receive my refund. They have to date had my money for 3 months with no sign of a refund!

I have had the same problem when I cancelled a order with this company, they have still not paid me back my £293.00, and I am looking at other ways to retrieve it, how are they allowed to keep doing this,why have trading standards not stopped them.

“Dream On!”

As with previous customers we too found service beyond belief. Read rave reviews before placing the order - did they write them themselves? Order for chair placed and paid for Oct 9th with promise of delivery in 5 - 15 days. Last we heard of it until I started searching the web for other companies to provide chair. Located and phoned a supplier one that had same chairs arriving following Monday and that they had just reduced in price. Furniture UK promised to match the reduced price and that they would send chair and refund cheque by end of month (Nov). Because I had already been in contact with the alternative company they phoned yesterday to follow up my enquiry and to see if I wanted to place an order as they had the courier coming to London this Friday. To cut a long story short, it transpired that this company was the importer to the UK for this product - & that Furniture UK would be purchasing the chair from them anyway to sell on to us. Although we had paid beginning of Oct - when the supplier phoned them for payment prior to releasing the chair to them -- they cancelled the order. Had I not already been in contact with their supplier (quite by chance) we would never had know that the chairs had arrived in the country and that our order was not dealt with. The next shipment would then not happen until after Christmas and I imagine that Furniture UK would had contacted us and said that the problem was with the supplier - not them. Their excuses that they were having problems with their courier is untrue. According to this particular supplier - they do not have couriers - they use the suppliers courier.

“Gone into liquidation”

Like many others I have ordered furniture and not received stock. No response to emails or calls. Check out company house website....furniture uk is in liquidation. They're continuing to trade and take your money. Review.co.uk are investigating all positive feedback as they and I believe it's fake and they have asked for their banner to be removed from their site. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE

“Do not shop here”

I ordered some sitting room furniture from furniture uk online, but after not hearing from them for a few days I rang them and spoke to a woman about delivery, they emailed me later to say that the order was ready, but that some of the order had been damaged and would be delayed for 3 more weeks, not happy with this as I wanted my firniture before this, I cancelled the order, and they said they would send me a cheque for the £293.40 that they had taken for my card, the chque bounced, so I rang them and they said they would put the money back through my card, but guess what that didn't happen either, I have also given them my bank details so that they can pay it back, but nothing. How can these people get away with this, it is day Light robbery and I see I am not the only one to be ripped off like this, I have been in contact with my,bank and I am now setting up a dispute to try and get some money back through my card company, I am so angry that I have been caught out like this as I am usually so careful, but from now on I will be much more wary. Do not deal with this company, they have taken money for me that I cannot afford and they just get away with it.

“NOT IN STOCK”

I bought a mirror that said in stock. When I paid for the mirror I received an email saying it was out of stock till November(a month away)I asked to be refunded and this seem to be no problem at all. After waiting 2 weeks for a cheque which never came I rang the customer service who then took my bank details promising me a quick refund, another week went by with no refund. I rang again to be told that they had sent another cheque which did come after 3 days. Once I put the cheque into my bank account it bounced. I couldn't believe it, I rang again, this is now 5 weeks since promised a refund. I was promised that the money would be in my bank in 3 to 5 working days using the account details I gave them weeks ago,still no refund!! I rang again and I'm waiting on them getting back to me. Am now in week 7 of waiting for the refund. This is an absolute joke, how can a company treat its customers like this!!!

Unfortunately I have also lost money to this company, I believe it has gone into liquidation as they are listed on company house website so you probably won't get your money back from them. If you paid with credit card or PayPal I would start a claim process with them to see if you can be reimbursed. I have started a claim with PayPal.

“A very bad experience”

I will never order from this company again. It took 4 weeks to deliver a bed and 2 bedside cabinets that were ex stock! I was advised that the wardrobe I also ordered was being discontinued but I am still waiting for a refund. A cheque was sent to me on 29th September but this bounced 'refer to drawer'. Other promises have been made to refund me, but to date this has not happened. I am very disappointed. O/no FUK27952

“Still waiting for Delivery”

I ordered a wardrobe and 2 matching bedside tables from Furniture UK of West Bromwich on 10 August 2014. A delivery was arranged for 23 August (although their website states most furniture is delivered within 5-10 days). The delivery lorry arrived, and the delivery staff spent 20 minutes looking for the items, but could not find them and so drove off again. The delivery was rearranged for 28 August. This time the wardrobe was delivered, but no bedside tables. Furniture UK then advised me that the bedside tables would not be available till 19 October, because delivery was all down to their Supplier's stock levels. It is now 28 October and I still don't have the tables. I have not heard from Furniture UK. Furniture UK should not have taken my order unless they were able to deliver it in full within 10 days, as they advertise. Do not do business with this organisation.

“Hollow promises of fictional delivery dates”

This is the first time I have been motivated by such bad customer service to spend my time writing a review. We ordered a bookcase in June. Furniture UK informed us that it was currently not in stock but would be in the next few weeks; fine, we thought, at least we know. It was eventually back in stock in mid-August, two months after the original order. Delivery by Friday we were told. Never arrived. Furniture UK blamed the logistics company TFL logistics. We were reassured it would come by next Friday. Again, no delivery. This repeated twice more. At this point I was ringing twice weekly. Finally by mid-September we received an e-mail from TFL logistics stating that the item had been booked in to be PICKED UP PRIOR TO DELIVERY meaning that up until this point Furniture UK had been blatantly lying to us about the fictional Friday delivery dates. Turns out Furniture UK use TFL to pick the items up from the manufacturer rather than having it in their own warehouse (if they even have one). Then began the issues with TFL; after three failed attempts to pick up the bookcase, numerous phone calls to Furniture UK and the courier, and a recorded letter stating our dissatisfaction and threats to report to Trading standards we finally got the bookcase in OCTOBER. Despite repeated requests to use a more competent courier, Furniture UK stuck with TFL. I suspect the two companies may be more closely linked than the Furniture UK staff are willing to let on. Furniture UK offered us £10 as an apology for all the delays; to be honest we hold little hope of ever seeing this money and just want to put the whole saga behind us. Every time I look at the bookcase now I can't help but get angry. Realistically, service has to be truly exceptional to motivate people to spend the time to write a good review; I seriously question the authenticity of the positive reviews and can't help but think they are only there to try to offset the effect of the negative reviews whose content matched my experience closely. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

“excuse after excuse”

Ordered bedroom furniture. A day later told one item not in stock.kept ringing and it was in stock after about a week then was promised delivery later that week. Phoned on the Friday and goods not dispatched, was promised it the following week. Still didn't arrive. Chased again and given new delivery date. Guess what didn't arrive. Phoned again and told order got split up and went to two different delivery depots. After weeks and weeks of excuses I gave up and asked for a refund, which 3 weeks later haven't seen yet.

I had same experience, did in the end get my money back but only after threatening them with legal action. You can report this to the bank with which credit/debit card you used to pay, they will take this up and get your money back for you. Hope this helps.

“Worst customer service ever and found cheaper elsewhere”

What a terrible experience shopping with Furniture UK. The wardrobe I ordered and paid for on 25 August is still not with me. I have had to chase countless times via email and phone re delivery. The website promises delivery within 10 - 15 working days. The customer service staff are nice but do not ring you back despite promising to do so and on several occasions actually lied; telling me the wardrobe was with the courier - and subsequently telling me it hadn't left Denmark. To top it all off I've now found exactly the same wardrobe elsewhere for £60 less. The refund I'm now getting is coming via cheque! Appalling, from a web-based organisation.

I had same experience in June this year, kept saying refund by cheque but in the end THEY DID refund back to my card! Threatened them with legal action, Appalling company-never again will I ever buy from them. They also have sister company'Low Cost Furniture' which you should avoid too.

Have this company gone into administration? Ordered a bed 2 weeks ago, no communication and they cannot be contacted through website or tel no. They are only taking messages, but are still taking orders!
