I placed a deposit on the 15th of November 2012 for a bed and was told the delivery date would be the 28th December and that the balance was to be paid for by the 20th of December. I went into the store a week later to pay off the remainder and was again reminded the bed was due to be delivered on the 28th December.
I received a phone call on the 18th December from the head office saying that they couldn't get the bed in from the manufacturer until the 4th January. Not being pleased with this I told them it wasn't suitable and would it be possible to choose another bed. I was told that would be fine and to contact the store and arrange it with them, which I did. An hour later the manager phoned me back to say that she put the order through but it will be the 10th January it will be delivered, even longer!!!
The problem I have is I literally just binned the old bed the day I paid off the new one and I've been currently sleeping on the floor! Not ideal but then I thought I was only going to be waiting for 2 weeks not a month! I went on the internet to look at reviews and to my horror not one person had a good word to say about Dreams.
So it’s now the 8th of January and I received a phone call from Dreams again saying there’s a problem with the manufacturers and I’d have to wait till March for the bed! That’s 4 months without a bed!!!
I asked for a refund and was told Id have to go to the store, but having spoken with the Manager of the store previously I know they don’t refund in the stores, only the contact centres can do it! Then I was told it will take 28 days for a refund! I've asked to speak to managers, directors, supervisors but can’t get a hold of any of them. If I want to speak to them they schedule in a request and they will get back to you within 48 hours. But I've asked for this three times and have had no communication. I've emailed too but all I get back is ‘your bed is due for delivery on 10th of January’.
All I want is my money back and for people to avoid this company like the plague!
