“No show on delivery day”

Ordered royal orthro divan bed with 2 drawers ,rang the order in and requested 2 man drop off ,very helpful on phone ,ordered Wednesday for Friday delivery ,received email with confirmation order and tracking number .Friday came stayed n all day ,no bed ,tried to track the delivery ,no luck ,no number for helpline or delivery carrier .I sent 4 emails over the weekend ,no reply ,Monday came still no reply nothing ,no communication at all !!Tuesday got a phone all saying the bed would be delivered Wednesday and they apologise for delay and that was that .I am impressed with quality of the bed but I'm afaird the very poor customer service and communication to me as a customer and no reply to emails I'm afraid that I would not recommend you ,would be a good idea for you to address poor customer service and communication and the carriers you use who take a week to deliver a bed .

“DO NOT GO ”

I ordered a bed saturday they said it would be delivered tuesday no bed phoned said only 2 parts at depot will get it wed no bed still at depot phined thursday no bed still phoned friday no bed then depot phoned for delivery saturday a week after still no bed so anyone who reads this do not buy from these people they feed you a load of rubbish just to keep you quiet 8 days now still no bed tgey advertise next day delivery mire like next month DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS FIRM OR WORLDBEDS THEY ALSO TRADE UNDER

“Do not use!”

Wish I read these reviews before buying a bed from this company. Ordered a double divan and headboard in November 2014 for delivery the following week. The first time the couriers came (5/12/14) they only delivered the headboard. Arranged to come the following Fri 12/12/14. After waiting in all day again the bed finally arrived late in the afternoon. When I unwrapped it the divan base was damaged. Phoned customer service who said that they could rearrange for the bed to come the following Tuesday 16th. Courier was told to phone before delivery as I had to get home from work to let them in. They didn't and of course tried to deliver when I wasn't there! Had to ring again to rearrange a fourth delivery for the Friday. Got an email so say that they were going to deliver on Wed 17th. I had to ring again to say I wouldn't be there so please deliver as previously arranged on the Fri 19th. On the Friday I waited in all day again. I didn't have an email or text to confirm when they were coming and phone a further three times during the day trying to find out what was happening! Appalling service. The courier finally at 7.00pm that night. The courier also had to collect the old divan base. Whilst carrying in the new base, there was a clunking noise. The courier opened the boxes to find out that the drawer in the divan base was in bits! I was in distress. I needed the bed as my mother was coming to stay for Christmas and we had removed the old bed. The courier decided to swap the drawer from the other damaged divan and replace it in the new divan. I finally got the bed put into the room where I looked at it. The material is so thin you can see the wood of the divan base through it. The customer service person said that I would get some compensation for the appalling service that I received but guess what? Nothing has been forthcoming. I would not use these company or the courier they used again and I would stress to anyone who is looking to buy a bed please do not use this company. They use shoddy material and their service is appalling. I would have cancelled and used a different company if I had known how bad they were!

“NO BED!”

Delivery due 16.1.15, no delivery, tracker stated with carrier, when tracked hadn't arrived with carrier, finally arrived with carrier, (according to tracker) 16.11.so wasn't with carrier at all?? Anyway rung at 18.00 no customer srvices, sales only, said they were probably running late, and delivered until 20.00, despite us being given delivery time of 8.00-18.00??? Rang Saturday 9.00 no customer services until 9.00 Monday, sales team cannot do anything to help, cant process refund so we could go elsewhere to purchase a bed, that had to be done by customer services, who were not there till Monday. My daughter had got rid of her broken bed the previous day, to make way for the new one, she has had to borrow a double mattress to sleep on the floor until this is resolved!! My daughter is 29 years old, what if it had been my 76 year old mother, would she have had to sleep on the floor, or move out for the duration of the time it is going to take us to resolve this??? We are all now at work until the end of next week, so it will be another week before we can accept delivery, if it should turn up?? Not to mention the day wasted waiting for a delivery that never left the depot!!! Dreadful service will never use again, will be asking customer services for a refund on Monday and will be going back to Dreams, should have done that in the first place!!

“Single divan with drawers ”

Cheap divan base, material pulled when putting handles on drawers, drawers don't close properly, ordered duvets & headboard which didn't get delivered with no explanation of where they were. Glad we upgraded the mattresses to quality silent night ones. Buy cheap, buy twice!

“Horrid customer service”

Ordered what I thought was a 3/4 mattress but when it arrived I realised I'd made a mistake Was organising return (I noted when I ordered a 7 day no quibble return service) and was informed that it would cost me £40.00 and there was no alternative, I could not organise an independent return Think this price is over the top for a very light mattress

“As bad as it gets”

Late delivery. The bed arrived damaged. Totally unable to contact their customer support. Waiting for more than 40 mins just to get through to the helpline they publish, which turns out to be the courier and not the seller. Avoid this company like plague!

“Delivered as promised”

What a stress! After ordering THEN reading these reviews I was panicking like mad, especially as I am due to go on holiday tomorrow (the day after the delivery date for our beds). I emailed the company yesterday and had a prompt,if slightly vague, reply and my blood pressure increased further. However, here it is, as promised, my sons new bed. It is well packaged and I received a pre-delivery text, as promised, and it came within the ETA. Needless to say I am extremely happy. It would be less daunting if it was easier to track the delivery, as the tracking wasn't working on the website, and I didn't know the courier being used.

“Worst service ever...”

How I wish I read these reviews. Do not deal with this company, they lure you in with cheap prices... But inevitability you get what you pay for. We waited 6 working days for a next day delivery and each day was put on hold for 45 mins to get through to their customer services line. In the end the bed was delivered dirty and items were delivered separately. I was offered a meager refund which does not come anywhere close to the time I have wasted on this sorry affair. They have offered to replace the bed, but I will not spend another 6 days waiting for this to happen. Do not trust this company. I have only rated them 1 star as I have to give them a score!

“keep well away”

“A terrible and stressful experience”

Last Tuesday I ordered a Kingsize Divan bed online. It was marked as '2-3 days availability'. As my partner needed to get time off work to be home for delivery, we kept an eye on the tracking website. Dispatched on Thursday, but no contact. Finally we got through to the delivery company, XDP- only two of the three parts had been given to them. After a LONG time on hold, we spoke to customer service, who promised a Monday delivery and a refund of the delivery fee. Fast forward to Monday- the bed arrives WITHOUT THE MATTRESS. The base measures 152cm across- the bed we ordered was 160cm across. They delivered the WRONG BED, days late, and forgot the mattress! Also- no delivery fee refund so far. Five emails have gone unanswered. The customer service line is not a free number, and on two occasions I've waited for 20 minutes and been disconnected. Will we ever get our bed? Who knows. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this website- the prices are just not worth the stress!

“shoddy goods, poor customer service, late delivery”

I ordered a double divan to be delivered the following day, did not arrive, couldn`t get through on the phone, after numerous attempts was told to phone local depot at plymouth, eventually was told by them it would not be delivered for a further 24 hours. When it arrived Friday 4th October, the delivery guy pointed out the base was damaged, ie scuffed and dirty, he took a photo of it to record the damage. I decided to keep the bed to avoid further delays and hassle. When I removed the plastic, one half of the base was covered in a thin black plasticy material and the bottom half was covered in a very this cardboard which was coming away from the base of the bed the very this staples were hanging off. I wish I head read the reviews beforehand as there does not appear to be one good one. I will be asking for a reduction on this bed for the damage and extremely poor finish. Wish me luck!!

“Late Delivery Appaulling Service and Faulty Goods”

I ordered a Somerset Divan Bed from Divanbedsworld for my Grandson on Thurs Sept 26th, when confirmation came through they had order the wrong size!!! I rang the Sales number to check "Oops what happended there" was the response so my order was amended with the correct size. If I hadn't rang I would have got the wrong size, well so you would think. I purchased on the understanding it would be delivered on Tues 1st Oct without fail as that was the only day I could take delivery I was assured it would be. You guessed it, the bed didn't arrive, my young Grandson had to sleep on blankets on the floor!!!! No response from after sales they shut at 6pm and guess what they say delivery is between 8am and 6pm, so if it doesn't appear and you ring the lines are closed, theres a surprise!!. The bed arrived the next day only after I chased the courier which I found myself after searching the internet using my order and consignment, they were helpful and said they hadn't received the bed so delivery was never going to happen, then they rang and told me one part of the order arrived but not the until late on the night of the day it was supposed to be delivered so doubtful I could get it the next day but he would try and track it down. Well he did a good job found it and got the bed out to me no thanks this company. More unpaid time off work!!. I have sent several emails no response, I have phoned after sales dozens of times the shortest queue time was 35minutes the longest 58minutes, so I thought I would have to wait to get it sorted as the bed arrived secondhand!!! the base was obviously a return.!! \nd the mattress had dirty marks. After 52 minutes of waiting in phone queue I got cut off!!!! My husband has repaired the base himself so my Grandson could go to bed and the dirty marks on the mattress will have to stay.. It has been 3 days and still no response to any of my emails and I cant get through to After Sales, if you ring new Sales the queue times are seconds literally, but they cant do anything it has to be After sales. My next port of call is tracking down their CE and contacting Trading Standards and trying to stop the payment. Lets see what response I get now. I may not be successful but I am going to do my best and I have a drafted a message for "Watchdog" tv programme.

“Just about ok”

I got very nervous reading these reviews after I had ordered my bed. I started researching DivanBedsWorld because the couriers had said only 2 pieces of my 3 piece order and therefore wouldn't be delivering on the arranged day, i'd tried ringing DBW a couple of times only to give up after 2 45 minutes sat on hold due to a high amount of calls before ringing aforementioned courier (XDP Express) who were professional and helpful, they said that the 3rd piece would be likely to arrive next day which it duly did and after the glut of emails and texts telling me what, where and when all 3 pieces were delivered in good condition and I have to say my cheap(ish) 2 drawer divan is of pretty good quality and the mattress is medium soft and very comfy. Overall i'd be cautious to order from DBW again but looking back the only thing they did really badly was the customer support bit.

“Completely Useless Customer Service!”

Hadn't read any previous reviews about this company, but after I got involved with them, would certainly agree not to use this company. You phone their number to make and inquiry and they say they will phone you back. Firstly, why can't whoever they employ deal with such simple questions and secondly they don't return the call. Call back a second time and this time someone phones me back and promises to send out some information in the post the same day. One week later - nothing arrives. Call back twice and each time promised someone would get back to me and don't hear anything. They clearly have no interest and so will gladly take my business elsewhere to somewhere that deserves it. Only bothered trying to use them as they seemed reasonably cheap, but most definitely not worth the bother. I have made hundreds of online/telephone purchases and these guys are definitely the worst! So pleased I read the other reviews here before I made the mistake of giving them any of my money!

“Divan Bed Centre”

For the past 4 months I have owned one of these Divan Beds that I purchased new from the company and thought I would share my opinion with others. From their website they come over as if they are all very big company however when calling their sales hotline be warned ' you are calling a call centre and not the company themselves! ' ~ The bed was delivered a few days later than promised and the courier company told me that he would probably see me again ( joking ) shorttly as he said he takes back more beds to this company than they deliver!!! The bed was fine for the first few days with just a few squeaks from it which I thought was the settling in of the wood etc however I later found out that the divan bed was starting to sink in the middle. My mattress was also brand new, from another company I must say, so I knew it was not the mattress going faulty. Upon examining the divan base I found out that the base was made of very thin ply that is great if you weight is under 8 stone but anything more than that forget it... Now I know why I should have paid the extra £150 or so and gone to somewhere like John Lewis etc...

“Do Not Touch This Company”

Purchased a divan bed which arrived with the divan Torn also had Numerous oily patches all over the mattress & base which was in a plastic casing????. We eventually decided after a lot of tooing & froing to cancel & request a full refund. White van arrived eventually with 2 people who were having hassle from their boss over the mobile, whilst trying to uplift the divan and not making a good job of it as kept dropping it.I spoke with the boss & told him to leave it out & finished call. Confirmed with supplier pick up & was informed refund in 3-5 working days following receipt of bed in w'hse. Emailed them on 27th June & was told sorry will get a/c to issue refund 3-5 working days.Phoned today 3rd July & was told (refund had got lost in system would arrange another refund 3-5 working days. By this time I had lost it & asked to be put onto acct's manager.Sorry cannot do as not in this building. OK let me speak to CEO, sorry not in this building & the girl with whom I spoke with, did not know the name of their CEO. However was told their telephone Number and was promised an email as soon as refund was to be actioned. If you Value Your Sanity Do Not touch these people and keep hold of your cash.

Please do not enter into any form of transaction with this shambles of a Company who trade under WORLD STORES. I went on their website and ordered a Divan Bed Base which was described as deliver the Next Day. Received confirmation but not of bed size. Telephoned to confirm and was told after waiting 30 mins that I had ordered a Single not a King as I had thought. I had ordered a King. So I gave up and cancelled over the phone and followed up with a e-mail as per the website. Having only the following day at home I called there Sales Dept. who answered in 2 rinds. Asked the Advisor again if the the previous cancelled and would I 100% receieve the item the next day. ' Yes ' I was told and therefore ordered. Paying again. Wednesday arrived no item on there tracking system so telephoned waited a further half hour to be told sorry can't deliver till Friday. Cancelled and told 7 days for refund. On getting home Weds evening I was notifed by e-mail that the original order had been dispatched. Telephoned Thursday morning and eventually got through to be told oops we can see you called and e-mailed but didnt cancel. So then received an e-mail telling me they had cancelled the original order and I would get my refund within 28 days as they had dispatched the item. I was told not to take delivery I explained that no one was in and that they had better not leave with neighbours. To be told no item too big. Left meeting at 5pm on Thursday and had a message from Courier saying trying to delvier. Got home at 7pm to find a card and that the bed had been delivered to my elderly neighbours at 4pm some 6 hours after my morning call. They had spend 3 hours looking at this in there living room. I swear the people at WORLD STORES call centre were script writers for 'ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE' I am now sitting looking at a King Size Divan base which I dont need as I got one delivered from a local shop after all that yesterday fro £10.00 more and currently £360.00 out of pocket awaiting refunds and someone to collect this item. Morale of this story 'DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY' They are shambolic they adverts are mis-represented and the staff are a joke.
