This operation is fraudulent...not delivering product, lying that they will then don't and after 8 months promise a refund which never gets returned. A great business taking money and delivering nothing.

“Please dont' order from this company”

This company is an absolute joke I actually feel sorry for the Customer Service team and have tried to remain polite as I appreciate the problem I had was probably not personally their fault. I ordered a bed from Direct Bedrooms part of Corban Direct. On the day it was due I called to make sure all was ok. I was told that it was out for the next day and that their date was correct total lie. This happened three times, eventually I cancelled the order. It has taken 5 months and a Small Claims court order to get my refund and I had to threaten to contact the court to get the court fees back this took a further month.. I ordered this on a debit card the first and only time I never used a credit card...lesson definately learnt there. PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM THEM . Previous reviews would not have helped me because unfortunately they were for Corban and not Direct Bedrooms so I would not have connected them.

I wish I had seen this website before I ordered two chairs nearly a month ago. They were supposed to be on next day delivery, but they did not arrive. When I phoned to enquire I was told 7/10 days, 10 days passed told friday, thursday arrives email telling me im not getting them it will be Monday now. I dont think they will arrive so I have warned them that if they dont I will require a full refund. The girl working in customer services must be fed up working for this usless set of imbeciles. AVOID AVOID AVOID

“Non Delivery”

Ordered large mirror and money taken from account that day. 10 days later no word. Emailed customer services and received an apology with delivery promised one week later which did not arrive. emailed and phoned again and received a new date. No delivery and requested refund which I received. Female on customer services was very helpful and could not be faulted. However the logistical team need a good kick up their rear end if they hope to stay in business much longer. I should have read the revues first. I ended up going to Oak Furniture Solutions where I received prompt service and have since ordered and received a sideboard as well as my mirror. What a breath of fresh air.

Wish I had checked reviews before placing my bed frame order. Two failed delivery dates latest being Saturday 17th January 2015, rang and requested a refund told their accounts department should notify me in 2 working days.(watch this space)

“Awful Company, awful customer service, awful experience”

I've not done this before but such is the strength of my feeling about our experience with this company, I would not want anyone to order from them. I'll try to be brief, but this story unravelled over weeks and weeks. CHECK TWITTER - I'm certain you will find ongoing issues with customers right now. We ordered a bunk bed for our kids that was in stock with next day delivery. Took the day off (friday) work to take delivery. Email said the order had gone through etc with a consignment number. I forget the name of the delivery company but there wasn't very detailed online tracking. The bed didn't arrive, called Corban Direct who said the courier had not taken the item. "My Dad's a delivery driver and he doesn't wait for anyone - you know what they're like". Gob smacked. I called the courier and spokje directly to them. They said they picked up several other items that day but were not given the bed to take. CD rescheduled delivery for wednesday. (Confusing as presumably if we'd re-ordered that day with next day delivery it would have arrived Tueasday...alarm bells). Needless to say it did not arrive. I decided to pose as a new customer. Called rather than website and was told the item was out of stock. Called again as the original customer(!) and asked what on earth was going on. "The supplier is struggling to keep up with the orders" - I escalated this and spoke to 'Tim' - actually a nice guy and very calm but clearly working in a situation where he cannot win! He said he would personally call the supplier and get back to me. He briefly mentioned their name. After a bit of googling I found the supplier in Blackburn. I called them but as they are trade only they could not help. So I called again posing as a new furniture business particularly interested in stocking the bunkbed. What was their lead time, stock levels, cost etc. Everything checked out, plenty of stock and a decent reduction in price! Back to Corban to suggest the issue was not with the supplier. They had no answer for this but promised to deliver by the friday. Again - nothing. This time the delivery driver had made the decision that the box was so damaged he wouldn't pick up as it would almost certainly be returned. (Highly unlikely). I called the supplier again. They said I would not be able to speak with them but should raise my grievances with CD. I told them I had, but that every time was told it was the suppliers fault. They were extremely annoyed by this and stated "THEY TOLD YOU THAT? SIR, YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR BED BECAUSE THEY DO NOT PAY THEIR BILLS". I reported this back to Tim at CD and they eventually agreed to pay the bill to release the bed for me. It arrived two days later with a reduction to the trade price. HOWEVER, the bunk was meant to be left or right ladder arrangement as per the description. It was not. I couldn't face returning, so drilled and filled until it worked for our girls room. In short DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE.

“Incompetent & shambolic ”

Same as everyone else here unfortunately.... Ordered a sofa and got a delivery date, took the day off work "no delivery" so I got in touch and they were very sorry and gave me a new delivery date.. Guess what ??? "No delivery" so Iv just cancelled the order after finding this review page... STAY AWAY FROM CORBAN

“Disgusting Service”

We have been so unhappy with the lack of service Corban Direct has provided us. I would advise people not to shop ,They never rang us/emailed back and were never await of the failed delivery - we always had to do the chasing. We are also still awaiting a refund for the Saturday deliver we paid for and never got, plus some form of compensation for the disastrous service. 6 weeks on we haven't even received that and are now taking them to court. AVOID at all costs.

This is a company that is operating illegally. Please listen to the many bad reviews of people not receiving refunds, as I also have first-hand experience of this. I have now been waiting 5 weeks for a refund due to a faulty wardrobe. Their several bank transfers have 'failed' and I have spoken to them daily to discuss this, with their manager avoiding to take the call every time. I now don't expect any money back and I will be reporting them.

I got my bank involved with these bunch of clowns and used the Visa claim back my bank offers. They have managed to get my money back for me after about 4 weeks of lying from Corban Direct (Direct Bedroom). I'd urge you to do the same, you have a 120 days window in which to do it. Good luck!!

“Shouldn't be allowed to stay in business”

Shocking service as soon as ordered - so much for 'next day delivery' - try 'out of stock' and rescheduled deliveries numerous times with no notice or apologies. Once I lost patience with waiting in for deliveries that didn't turn up I cancelled my order. The lies then begun. It took a month to get refunded, after each phone call I was told 'it's been processed' or 'the refund will be in you account in 3 days'. It wasn't until I threatened legal action. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I don't think I've ever left a review before but felt compelled to in this case.

“Awful company ”

So my story is pretty much the same as everyone else, ordered online for a new bed to be delivered in a weeks time, called the day before to check it would definitely arrive as I was taking time off work and was assured yes it would. So take the day off, call them at about 11am the next morning to be told 'na sorry no deliveries today' This happened again twice more - so 3 lost days of work in total. They couldn't care less that people are taking time off work. What makes it worse is they emails saying 'your bed will definitely be there tomorrow' when they know full well it won't. Why lie? So eventually they tell me they will refund me and it will take 3-5 days as they've already processed it and thats how long MY bank would take, 5 days later they email to say sorry they have 'system problems' so the payment hasn't gone through. LIES!!! They originally told me my bank was holding the money when clearly they hadn't processed anything. Ordered the bed the next day from Bed on Legs (who use the same suppliers as Corban Direct) and it arrived 2 days later. Very helpful customer service lady check dot ensure it would arrive after I told her about my awful experience with Corban Direct. So I have a bed now but I'm £300 down as Corban Direct still have my money :-(

I have the same problem, have started a dispute through my bank & notified watchdog. I've been waiting since last Monday 3rd nov for my refund of almost £500 for orders placed at the end of September. Their phone line has also been down for the last 2 days, last update to me was money will be in my account by Friday - I'm not holding my breath

I have the same problems. Order cancelled due to stock not available, refund process refused, now they want my account and sort number details for a back review. My order was made through "bedroom direct". Seems I might as well get in touch with my bank and trading standards now.

Snap! I'm absolutely shocked and disgusted! Ordered a bed and mattress, not in stock after they took my money. I have emails full of lies, a refund was supposedly processed, two emails confirming this, no money in my account. Then some excuse the refund was refused by my bank, so they took my account details to process a BACS payment last Friday, still no refund. I'm now raising a dispute directly with my bank and I will be notifying Watchdog. How many more people are going to lose their money? Customer service is the worst I've ever come across.

I ordered the bed urgently as my 18 month old was somersaulting out of his cot and an accident waiting to happen, the new bed was for my toddler so my 18 month old could have his cot bed. Ordered for Saturday delivery. I then had to borrow the money to order another, which from Wayfair was delivered promptly next day, excellent customer service, unlike CORBAN DIRECT!

“Dreadful Service”

Ordered a wardrobe with next day delivery option but preferred to have it on a different day. Contacted the company who said it would be no problem and I chose a nominated day for delivery instead. The day before item was due to arrive we called them for a rough time slot and they informed us wardrobe wouldn't be coming. (Good job I called and didn't take day off work.)They then said it but would be delivered following week. Tried to call/ email day before this delivery no response. So took day off as assumed it would be coming, kept calling and eventually got through to someone who said "No its not coming. We'll refund you." So they took my money kept it for two weeks, did absolutely nothing and now I'm waiting for refund!

I've started a dispute with this company through my bank today as I've been waiting for my refund of almost £500 since last Monday. I was told last Friday it would be in my account yesterday as they'd had problems with their refund system so it would be processed via BACS. Informed today it will be in by Friday this week - unable to speak to anyone as the free phone number for corban direct is now dead & the number for direct bedroom has a fault. I have gone on line & reported them to watchdog - never experienced this sort of stress with on line shopping :(

“Waste of time”

Ordered a wardrobe & a bed on 31st October - delivery date of 7th November agreed. I took the day off work to receive the delivery, called the company at 12pm to check it was on route, only to be told they could deliver either item and were giving me a refund. Didn't care about my loss of earnings or the fact I had ordered co-ordinating items from another store. No goodwill gesture & no explanation as to why the items were showing for sale on their website. Possibly the worst service I have ever experienced.

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS”

We went with this company because it promised next day delivery. Two weeks later the bed hadn't arrived, with 3 delivery dates missed. At the time they blamed the delivery company - however I pressed them to provide me with contact details of the delivery company, and when I called them they had no details of any order to my address. When I challenged Corban on this they came up with a different excuse. So it seems they are quite happy to mislead their customers. In the end we got the bed from a different company within a 2 day delivery, on the day they promised. I haven't gone into calls that were not returned, which made this more stressful than it needed to be. But do not touch this company with a bargepole - and if you do then do not be surprised if you are left disappointed. You can't believe a word they say.

“Do Not waste your time and money with this company”

Like many of you on here I never ever complain or have a reason to complain about things but I feel like I have been robbed and I dont see why they should get away with it. Ordered a bed frame chose date no bed arrived, next day called sorry problem cant deliver can deliver a week later, then got a message saying we are giving you a 25.00 refund for inconvience which to date we never received this was just to keep us sweet, but cant deliver until the next week again by midday thought i would contact again oh sorry cant deliver again, i am now awaitng refund which by the looks of things and other reviews i will be lucky if i recieve it.Like the rest of you manager never calls back never any contact about the delivery and the staff are rude. I wished i had looked at reviews before i ordered,i have contacted advertising standards, trading standards, citizens advice, and now my bank to raise a chargeback, i have googled lots of information about the company online and suggest you all do this also, i will not let this lie until i get my money back even if it means i have to also take them to court, my next stop is itv as they are using them to advertise 60 minuate makeover and the papers and watchdog. I placed my order with directbedrooms a sister company of corban direct. We need to do what we can to get our money back as this is stealing, we have worked hard for this money why should they just be able to take it.

“Lies,More Lies and a Rip Off ”

Placed an order with them, all ok,they emailed saying the bed was out of stock, all still ok. Then get an email saying in stock with a delivery date, not delivered on said date. Lots of phone calls later, resulting order being cancelled, this was offered by them, which makes me thing that this is all part of the process. As expected weeks later we are still waiting for the refund ,so the saga continues. From a customer service side they are prime candidates for a consumer programme and I have therefore contacted friends in the media to move this forward to make people aware nationally of them. There dishonesty,lies and other actions are clearly blatant and wholesale when read in conjunction with the other reviews and i think they are part of the SOP's for this company. On the ratings side if i could rate at -1099 i would.

“Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!!!!”

I have never written a review before but after such awful customer service decided I had no other option. I ordered a bed and matress for next day delivery back in August failing to deliver, they promised me it would be delivered 2 days later, waited in, failing that another 2 days later when told it was actually not in stock we agreed that I was to be refund my money, well 9 weeks later and countless phone calls still no refund (£329.99) Promise the world and can't even deliver an apology!!! Finally with the help of my credit card company who are now investigating.... we will hopefully get some answers soon. All I can say is please... before you are tempted to spend your hard earned money with Corban Direct, don't!!! You will regret it! I do everyday!!!
