This operation is fraudulent...not delivering product, lying that they will then don't and after 8 months promise a refund which never gets returned.

This company is an absolute joke I actually feel sorry for the Customer Service team and have tried to remain polite as I appreciate the problem I had was probably not personally their fault. I ordered a bed from Direct Bedrooms part of Corban Direct. On the day it was due I called to make sure all was ok. I was told that it was out for the next day and that their date was correct total lie. This happened three times, eventually I cancelled
the order. It has taken 5 months and a Small Claims court order to get my refund and I had to threaten to contact the court to get the court fees back this took a further month.. I ordered this on a debit card the first and only time I never used a credit card...lesson definately learnt there. PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM THEM . Previous reviews would not have helped me because unfortunately they were for Corban and not Direct Bedrooms so I would not have connected them.

Absolute Shambles!!
I wish I had seen this website before I ordered two chairs nearly a month ago. They were supposed to be on next day delivery, but they did not arrive. When I phoned to enquire I was told 7/10 days, 10 days passed told friday, thursday arrives email telling me im not getting them it will be Monday now. I dont think they will arrive so I have warned them that if they dont I will require a full refund. The girl working in customer services must be fed up working for this usless set of imbeciles. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ordered large mirror and money taken from account that day. 10 days later no word. Emailed customer services and received an apology with delivery promised one week later which did not arrive. emailed and phoned again and received a new date. No delivery and requested refund which I received. Female on customer services was very helpful and could not be faulted. However the logistical team need a good kick up their rear end if they hope to stay in business much longer. I should have read the revues first. I ended up going to Oak Furniture Solutions where I received prompt service and have since ordered and received a sideboard as well as my mirror. What a breath of fresh air.

Two Failed Delivery Dates
Wish I had checked reviews before placing my bed frame order. Two failed delivery dates latest being Saturday 17th January 2015, rang and requested a refund told their accounts department should notify me in 2 working days.(watch this space)

Awful Company, Awful Customer Service, Awful Experience
I've not done this before but such is the strength of my feeling about our experience with this company, I would not want anyone to order from them. I'll try to be brief, but this story unravelled over weeks and weeks.

We ordered a bunk bed for our kids that was in stock with next day delivery. Took the day off (friday) work to take delivery. Email said the order had gone through etc with a consignment number. I forget the name of the delivery company but there wasn't very detailed online tracking. The bed didn't arrive, called Corban Direct who said the courier had not taken the item. "My Dad's a delivery driver and he doesn't wait for anyone - you know what they're like". Gob smacked.
I called the courier and spokje directly to them. They said they picked up several other items that day but were not given the bed to take. CD rescheduled delivery for wednesday. (Confusing as presumably if we'd re-ordered that day with next day delivery it would have arrived Tueasday...alarm bells).
Needless to say it did not arrive. I decided to pose as a new customer. Called rather than website and was told the item was out of stock. Called again as the original customer(!) and asked what on earth was going on. "The supplier is struggling to keep up with the orders" - I escalated this and spoke to 'Tim' - actually a nice guy and very calm but clearly working in a situation where he cannot win! He said he would personally call the supplier and get back to me. He briefly mentioned their name.
After a bit of googling I found the supplier in Blackburn. I called them but as they are trade only they could not help. So I called again posing as a new furniture business particularly interested in stocking the bunkbed. What was their lead time, stock levels, cost etc. Everything checked out, plenty of stock and a decent reduction in price!
Back to Corban to suggest the issue was not with the supplier. They had no answer for this but promised to deliver by the friday. Again - nothing. This time the delivery driver had made the decision that the box was so damaged he wouldn't pick up as it would almost certainly be returned. (Highly unlikely).
I called the supplier again. They said I would not be able to speak with them but should raise my grievances with CD. I told them I had, but that every time was told it was the suppliers fault. They were extremely annoyed by this and stated "THEY TOLD YOU THAT? SIR, YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR BED BECAUSE THEY DO NOT PAY THEIR BILLS".
I reported this back to Tim at CD and they eventually agreed to pay the bill to release the bed for me. It arrived two days later with a reduction to the trade price. HOWEVER, the bunk was meant to be left or right ladder arrangement as per the description. It was not. I couldn't face returning, so drilled and filled until it worked for our girls room.
In short DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE.

Same as everyone else here unfortunately.... Ordered a sofa and got a delivery date, took the day off work "no delivery" so I got in touch and they were very sorry and gave me a new delivery date.. Guess what ??? "No delivery" so Iv just cancelled the order after finding this review page... STAY AWAY FROM CORBAN

Disgusting Service
We have been so unhappy with the lack of service Corban Direct has provided us. I would advise people not to shop ,They never rang us/emailed back and were never await of the failed delivery - we always had to do the chasing. We are also still awaiting a refund for the Saturday deliver we paid for and never got, plus some form of compensation for the disastrous service. 6 weeks on we haven't even received that and are now taking them to court. AVOID at all costs.

mine didn't take too long, it wasn't immediate but not too long. at least I got a refund!
