Always use venere.com since I discovered it years ago.
It's very easy to use, offers a lot of hotels, appartments, etc.
Most important thing for me, is that I'm never afraid of paying too much for my hotel, which is mostly the case at similar websites.
I have only had good experiences. The reviews give a good description of waht to expect.

It's one of my favourite websites and I always recommend it when someone is looking for a place to stay. It's my only religion and I spread the word! ;-)
