Research trip insurance before you buy it. Don't buy from the same travel agency you book with.
In spite of a rather unhelpful VTG employee who sold our group of four useless insurance the cruise was fine. The cruise director was great. The concierge staff at one hotel was outstanding and, other than standing in freezing rain for 45 minutes, everything was OK until I became too sick to return to the US. It was a total nightmare from an awful hospital to CSA refusing me proper transportation home. I went from the airport to the ER and got appropriate treatment for pneumonia and DVT. CSA provided nothing.
