We have used on-line travel sites on many occasions and have never had any issues what-so-ever. However, that was not the case with Travelation recently.

Our family was traveling to Minneapolis to meet up with other family members and head to the Nebraska-Minnesota football game. Our son is going to school in Denver, so we decided to fly him to Minneapolis to join us. I started looking at different sites and came across Travelation. The price I found on your site was good, and like I said, I’ve never had any issues in the past booking airline tickets on-line, so I went ahead and purchased.

I received a confirmation number and all the flight details. I figured we were good to go since we had the confirmation.

Fast forward ahead. As we were driving to Minneapolis, I received a call from my son saying he was not in the system and the flight was sold out. He had called the customer service number and was told our credit card had been declined and that an e-mail was sent to us saying that. I never received any such e-mail, and there were plenty of funds in our account. My wife then called customer service as well, and was told that we since we didn’t confirm our confirmation the ticket was not booked. At least that is what my wife interpreted, since with both phone calls (my son’s and my wife’s) the person helping us had very heavy accents and were almost impossible to understand. I never have had to confirm a confirmation before!? Of course we could re-book a later flight at a significantly higher price. Needless to say, my son did not make the trip to Minneapolis which was not only very disappointing, but also costly and a waste of our time. I still don’t understand how I could have a confirmation number in hand, yet not have a ticket?

I was extremely disappointed in my experience, and will never use this particular company again…or recommend others using it.
