I've heard many bad reviews of thetrainline and read a few more here. It's almost always cheaper to go directly to the train company's website (cross country, great western etc)
the worst thing is that quite often i try and do 2 or 3 searches in different tabs. This is apparently too much for the website to cope with as it always seems to load some of the information from other pages over information for a new search. It's a poor website design. Bad.
