Booked a ticket Luton Airport to Kings Cross (price £14.50), realised i'd made a mistake with my days and immediately called customer service. Told I have to buy a new ticket and apply for a refund of the incorrect one. Value of refund? £4.50 due to the admin charge. This is approx 2 minutes after booking it. What a ripoff, wish I could earn £10 in 2 minutes!
To add insult to injury, booking the same ticket through the train operator is £1 cheaper.
thetrainline.com, cheap tickets... I dont think so. Will never use this dis-service again.
