I don't usually do this but felt I had to voice my opinion of the dreadful service I received from Asda recently. I placed a grocery order to collect from my local store but when I arrived to collect it, at least half of my order was missing as it hadn't been delivered to the store. I was at the store for an hour whilst the staff tried to find the part of my order that they did have then trace the missing items. I then had to wait at home for a further two hours that afternoon so that the rest of my order could be delivered and I would be able to feed my family that evening! The order also included substituted items, which were not listed as substitutes and I was also charged full price for a couple of items that were on offer. On telephoning customer service to request a refund for the incorrect items and ask what they would do to recompense me for the wasted time and inconvenience, I spoke to two separate representatives, whom I could barely understand and neither of whom were able to offer me what I would consider to be sufficient compensation. Apparently I now have to wait for a call from the store as it is for them to compensate me and I will be expected to return to the store to sort this out with them. I have been a loyal customer, using Asda for my online grocery shopping for some time, but I will now be going elsewhere.
